Stuff flying upwards in that abduction beam is a common thing in anime to show it being vaporized or otherwise destroyed. I'm not really sure why, but a lot of older anime do that. It varies with the newer ones. I hadn't even really thought about it in forever cause I had just gotten used to it, but you're totally right about it seeming like an abduction lmao

Hearing your ideas is really fun, and I'd love to hear you theorize more! As you're two, you can even discuss your ideas with someone, who doesn't know what's to come yet, which makes theorizing even more fun! And imho you're satisfied, no matter if you're right or wrong about something - because if you're right, you're happy you got it right - if you got it wrong, you're usually stunned by what actually happened :D

2024-08-26 19:27:38 +0000 UTCI think the scene where Gan Fall meets with Wyper and the Shandians and talks about pumpkins, is meant to show that Gan Fall desperately tries to connect in any way with the Shandians. He knows that they yearn for the Vearth and he also finds it precious. But it didn't work out since Wyper took it more as a taunt than something in common they revere.

Wyper was never redeemed to me they give you those flash backs of Laki to make you care about him, but it never worked for me. Laki was scared of Wyper, and he didn't heisted to kill Aisa if it meant he could kill a blue sea person. And don't tell me he told Aisa to move, the burn bazooka flame expands to like a 12-foot area there was no way Aisa was moving out of the way. If Wyper wasn't there Gan Fall would have been more likely to form a peace and share the Vearth.
