"Night Of The End"

The tension in this ep was THICK! Emotions!! Hange spitting truth and Yelena is still a creep, even though we think she actually was giving the camp a much-needed reality check. (Still not really sure what that was.) Any insight is appreciated! We are actively ignoring the fact that it's almost over in hopes that it just won't be. 😅
Thanks so much for watching with us! Until the next one!

wow Kiss at the end 🤯🤯👏👏

kittyburglar

yea sure Marley for their own self interest weren't willing to let Paradis tell their side of their story, but so was Eren. He never had the intention to let Paradis speak or negotiate with the world, before he even set foot on Marley he had already stated his desire to flatten the world and that desire and the plan to set it in motion came before Marley's own plan of declaring war (that was actually just a part of Zeke's scheme)

boba feat

I love how in the end the group was able to physically and metaphorically “leave the forest”. Fun fact: Floch’s last name is Forster which means “occupational and topographic name for someone who lived or worked in a forest”. He, and people who think and act like him, will always remain in the forest.

Rae

I mean Marley sees eldia as it's long time oppressor for 2000 years it's mortal enemy, and also they don't know that their memories got wiped away.

Gu

The “I’m forever a scout” is my favorite lttle line in the entire show.

Andrew Stuart

Marley has not allowed Paradis to speak. We know both Armin and Hange are willing to talk, but Marley attacked Paradis before they even knew a conflict was going on. And like you said Kiss, Armin wanted to talk to Bertholdt and he refused. Marley, being an established world power with way more military might needs to open up the tables to talk, but instead they just declared war on Paradis without ever asking their opinions. So I don't this is a both sides argument where both sides aren't willing to talk.

Nope only Monday, Wednesday and Friday

am new here.. is there any sharing post today?

ahmed raad

Yeah, like if you look at everyone else who is convinced they're right, they all hate inflicting pain and death on others. Armin doesn't know the civilians of Marley but clearly feels sad and guilty about hurting them. Mikasa can't believe Eren would let civilians be hurt in his attack on Marley. Even Connie, while he thinks at the time that feeding Falco to his mom is the right thing to do for him, feels bad about taking this innocent kid to be titan food. As opposed to Floch, who is unnecessarily gleeful about pushing Hange around finally, tells the cadets to beat Keith Shadis within an inch of his life for no reason other than to cause him pain, shoots the guy who says he will never join the Jaegerists within a second and is gleefully talking about murdering Yelena and Onyankopon in front of a crowd. You can see at each of these times just how much he's enjoying this stuff, and it's sociopathic. Contract that again with Hange who is doing the despicable: shooting her own comrades dead from a hiding spot but you can see her crying about it because she's deeply sad even though they are hunting her and Levi to kill him. It's always interesting to me that we don't initially see Floch this way in the earlier season. He's a jolly young recruit who wants to get in on the scouts and kick some titan butt but is deeply traumatized by everyone but him being wiped out and then dragging Erwin to Levi only to have the choice be made to save some random guy he doesn't think is worth Erwin's life. He's severely disillusioned and so maybe that's why he's just snapped and become this angry, cruel person who goes nuts with a bit of power. An interesting character, as much as I dislike him personally. :D

fr0st

I never said he was evil

dreg

Theres a rule in anime: if an epispde(s) doesnt have much going on in the animation, it means shits about to go DOWN

jake thomson

love the discussion at the end. "POTATOES"

Hans

I think ppl hating on Floch coz he’s tht character from s3 that barely came to the show and is now wielding power.

Regie Khemvisay

Love that.. floch is not more bad than the rest of the ppl here

Regie Khemvisay

But for some reason no matter how much we talk, they always end up with war…this world loves to repeat history

Regie Khemvisay

Who wouldn’t? If u can take action n make a difference, anyone would take it. But yeah, he has his own pov

Regie Khemvisay

I could say the same for everyone else in that circle. They all killed ppl. But because Floch is against our team, it makes him a bad guy. He’s not evil. He’s seen and survived first hand how terrible the other side is too. He’s a complex character. And to say he’s evil, Annie is too coz she said she’ll do what they did all over again despite knowing what she knows today. Really there’s no good side in this anime. Humanity is bad and will repeat history and continue the cycle of hatred

Regie Khemvisay

Great way to express it, although I personally don’t hate him because I let my curious nature blunt my hatred sometimes, for a comprehensive understanding of what drives a characters actions or maybe I simply don’t care about how he conducts his mission. Either way, I understand truly why people hate Flock but the way you approached it was more open ended and sensible. You explained why he’s hated and described him as demented, which is a perfect description by the way. Although the others did horrible acts, they didn’t seem to be indulged in sadistic acts like Flock did. Even Eren doesn’t emanate a desire for grotesque self indulgence, he might be going about it the “wrong way” but it’s almost a stoic conviction of what has to be done rather than sadistic fulfillment.

Gin-liberio

Thats a solid analysis! AGAIN I LOVE THIS SHOW

Reginald

Floch is the embodiment of what a fascist escentially is: someone ruled by fear. He never stopped being that scared little guy in Shiganshina, and he’s so committed to being the one “throwing the rocks” now, not just out of hatred, or even power, but fear of being in that same spot again. That near death experience really changed him. He’s always afraid.

El Gus

Floch is so interesting (I hate him myself) but he's a) convinced that he's in the right but b) also enjoying being cruel and inflicting harm on people. Almost everyone is guilty of A, Eren especially, but everyone else is missing B, which makes them more likeable characters. Jean feels bad for hitting Gabi, Armin feels bad about killing innocents. Annie feels back about participating in Marco's death, even on orders. Floch just enjoys hurting people in persuit of his goal, which is a dangerous and demented personality trait.

fr0st

Huh???

Sean Carroll

Sergeant Major Gross. The level of sadism and callousness he displayed leads me to believe that he is an innately evil person. Regardless of his environment or any brainwashing he may have experienced, he just has an above-average capacity for taking pleasure in hurting others.

dreg

Really feel that palpable anger and frustration in the beginning of this video. GENOCIDE IS WRONG.

Master Gravy

More like the corrupt royal government they fought against in season 3 lmao

Rafael Ramirez

Ishayama: Violence as a solution to ending the cycle of hatred is a bad idea. I'm gonna have multiple characters outright state this so everyone gets that that's the theme of the story. AoT Fandom: Floch and Eren are the good guys

kabinyo

“Potatoes” had me weak 😂

Palo

I love how this show makes everyone expose themselves for being okay with genocide.

chris

Are there any truly evil people?

B.G.

Jean beating up Reiner was exactly what *both* of them needed to heal from Marco's death.

Peregrine Pack

i agree about the marquis playing chess with pixis, but the one who shot cannon balls at eren/mikasa/armin did have a deeper core meaning that still exists today: fear of the unknown. Even if eren said he was on their side, he can't be 100% sure and ergo, he can't trust him... same thing now with jaegerists, if eren doesnt stomp the world, then there's no chance that they wont come back to eradicate paradis... that cannon shooting captain from s1 is represented in here, and the scouts/marley/titans alliance here is literally trying to go against that.

Cyber

OH MY GOD!!!! The post reaction conversation was so profound! AND THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS SHOW. Like its not just some stupid ass anime, i truly believe a person can watch this and walk away being a better person. I say this while understanding, even within the AOT we got elitist assholes who think they are better than everyone else just like the Dog feeding marleyan officer who thinks he’s better than eldians

Reginald

Right I thought was the only person

Itzkingkongbait Nj

Amazing reaction as always. It's always dessert watching these. "Forever a Scout"

Erwin Smith

Also Yelena got that white liberal guilt ;) sorry not sorry LOL

Adam Espinosa

Kiss' explanation at 13:30 is FIRE. good anlaysis my gurl

Adam Espinosa

I don't think Floch is an evil person, but his actions sure are. In his mind they're justified, but they just aren't

dreg

next 2 weeks gonna be fire, non stop action lets gooo

Adam Aucoin

We will be scouts forever!!! <3

Costosou

King Floch!

Jake Smith

I get Floch’s POV but I think he definitely loves this power he has

Jake the Movie Geek

I’m glad you two love this episode. Some people don’t like it because there’s no action even though a lot of dramatic emotional moments happen.

Jake the Movie Geek

Put that in capital letters for sure!!

JS

Floch is not justified, but we should give understanding to why floch exists(real world versions of floch).

Reginald

its weird... Isayama writes flock as a bad guy...the face the colors the words he uses the extreme views. i feel that Isayama has done everything he can to tell us who the bad guys are and still there are flock stans there is a big difference between "flock is an interesting character that can show how you can go down the terrible path and think its justified" and "flock did nothing wrong, lets go kill everyone who isnt us"

Phillip

I know what you mean man, but being open minded and seeing the value in certain aspects of reactions elevates your experience as a viewer. I understand why you think it’s cringe trust me but from my perspective they are genuinely perceptive. I stopped watching them since their reaction on AOT so I can’t judge after that. Autosave is a another great react channel, they’re even more open minded through and through with emotion but I never observed them letting their emotions dictate their discussions after the reaction.

Gin-liberio

Annie with the ring and the look!! ...want to go...say when :) we needed to get all the feeling aired out before we could move on as far as Yelena...she is effectively a prisoner and shes not on their side...shes sowing discontent and string shit because...why not. shes not on team "lets all talk this out and be reasonable" or team "lets stop eren". all the tension and levi like keep it down im resting over here

Phillip

love the reactions and you guys! you guys are hilarious and fun, heartfelt and sincere when needed. definitely gives a sense of relatability and makes it feel like were actually watching it at the same time lol great reactions and im SOOOO excited to see the end of the show through your perspective!

Kaden Koennecke

god i hate floch so much. buuuutttt you do finally get to see the main marleyans and the main eldians team up! these next few episodes are going to BLOW YOUR MIND

Kaden Koennecke

see im the opposite...the action is the issue...he could be as calm and cool as Erwin or Pyxis...the issue is we can only move forward by protecting ourselves and the only way to do that is eradicate our enemys is missing the point that most characters in the show are getting...there is guilt and attempts at redemption and genocide is wrong and lets put our issues aside to save the world...and then there is team flock trying to wipe out everyone who isnt us...its would actually seem worse to me if he did it coal cool and collected...that would seem more evil and less an emotional response to his own trama

Phillip

the issue with Flock is that he 100% is giving off facist ethno state genocide is ok cause it justified vibes...every real world genocide is based on "protecting us" from the other people. its never phrases as we just hate these people...its always phrases as we need to protect our people. we can see from the story why it might seem justified by what flock has seen or been through but thats the whole point...the cycle of violence cant end with people like flock justifying the only way forward is to kill our enemy most of the main characters left are clearly lining up on genocide is bad lets learn for the mistakes from the past and stop the killing...and flock is over here on team annihilate everyone who isnt us cause thats the only way.

Phillip

"We haven't talked this through" Marcos words gives so much more impact when thinking about the whole world of AOT and our real world. More communication, less war and hatred.

Cation

I also said "potatoes" with you lmaoooooo

Yemi Truechild

85th and 86th episodes are best viewed together ;) ;) ;)

Kink Baron

Yeah, I have a community volleyball match and a trip, but still 4x26 will be on monday, that too far, its in next month. Dang it.

PKS

Absolutely not.

draeonic 🪼

Lmaooo broham! Find something to do. Play games if u got nobody to hang with. Thats what i do 😅

Reginald

It isn't *all* that he cares about by any means, I never said it was, but you'll need to explain how him mocking and laughing at people he is executing hasn't pushed him into different moral territory.

Mojito

ALSO SHOUT OUT TO CONNIE’s VOICE ACTOR YALL!

Reginald

Idk if you ever seen stranger things, or stranger things reactors but i the part you said “who they deem as more lovable chars” rings true in ST REACTIONS, the steve/lucas hate train goes ham first season especially for steve’s situations. Im not gonna spoil it if you haven’t seen ti

Reginald

Im not a Floch apologist, but to say he cares about power and control is vastly incorrect.

Reginald

You’re trippin fam! Floch is a necessary evil

Reginald

I personally find LettsReact suuuper cringe. NO HATE TO KENNY AND HIS WIFE but they just make me uncomfortable. PLEASE REMEMBER I SAY PERSONALLY. my fav reactors of attack on titan are React Pact, Carlie and Ange, halyo and kiss, magic magy, rice and ginger(sometimes) and newly Raph and Angy.

Reginald

🚩

Kevin

I m sick and tired of weekends nowadays

PKS

Yea exactly! Thats why i say characters with screen time. Cause characters like that noble man who pixis was guarding or the scaredy-cat MP that was about to shoot Eren, mikasa and armin with a cannon. They were pretty one dimensional, but they didnt have screen time like that so who caresx

Reginald

It’s fine, they got somewhat emotional about Flocks facial expressions being depicted as a “Tyrant “ I guess. They’ll soon realize what they said and rephrase it. On LettsReacts channel, they also hated Flock but in the end Kenny was like “I now understand Flocks point of view “. These two are smart but they let their emotions somewhat cloud their judgements based on who they deem as a more lovable character.

Gin-liberio

I have thought about it plenty, where is the nuance in laughing as he executes people? He HAD nuance. He lost it. Let's not be reductively simpleminded by telling people they are just being emotional because they disagree, okay?

Mojito

That’s not true, just because his expressions of his inner desires aren’t displayed in a way where you are able to tolerate it, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have nuance. Think before you use words, I understand people hating his actions but to say he’s not without some dimensions is just emotionally charged answer. I do agree, he did become a caricature and he let his position in power get the better of him but you come at his character with a boiled blood it seems like.

Gin-liberio

you got to hate Flock bro is a crazy douche through and through.

John Paul

Well said, that’s exactly right. There’s nuance in their character, and not some tyrant who just simply lusts for power and control even if that’s the end goal, our characters or most characters, have dimensions in their strides towards their objectives.

Gin-liberio

Wanting power and control is neanderthal concepts here! The characters WITH SCREEN TIME are much more complex then a bunch of muscle flexers

Reginald

In war you learn to demonize your enemy, to view them as evil, and subhuman. Because if they weren't, then what would that make you?

adamisajoker .

I can't vibe with the Floch apologists that somehow exist... he could take the same actions with any other tone and it wouldn't be nearly as bad, but it's clear that he is *enjoying* the role reversal and he is actively taking pleasure in being able to inflict cruelty. He is enjoying his newfound position of power, and any nuance that the character had has gone out the window. His feelings were understandable up to a point, but he crossed the line into mustache-twirling levels of comically evil. He became a caricature. He didn't start that way, but that's where he ended up. ARMIN is the one who represents "becoming a devil" like Erwin spoke of. Floch simply got lost in the sauce.

Mojito

I love you guys but if you think flock cares about power and control rather than the survival of the island you’ve grossly misunderstood him… REMEMBER BACK TO WHAT HE SAID ABOUT ERWIN. Something similar to “I wanted to put him out of his misery but i thought in order for humanity to survive, we need a devil. Erwin is that devil” NOT THE EXACT WORDS BUT SOMETHING SIMILAR

Reginald

Floch quite a dictator and willing to power to control Eldia Gov., maybe it's true! more or less. but in few episode will prove he's really do for the Eldia or not.

Zarayut Ziri

Love this episode. Jean is my favorite of the bunch. The constant inner struggle he's been having since the beginning, but he keeps pushing through.

kebiro

When Jean got furious about Reiner’s confession about Marco, he went to hit him and then Gabi got in the way to get hit as well, signifying that adults fight their battles and the kids are in the middle of it. As for Yelena, she aired out everyone’s dirty laundry so to speak, for reminding everyone that they all have grandiose goals about saving the world so you have no right to judge. They all wanted that sweet noble taste of saving the world to wash down the bitter tang of hate.

Gin-liberio

This time I am not late: The episode

Isac christensen

Floch is the chosen one. He is Erwin and Eren season 1-3. Don't be blinded, this is what we always wanted and cheered for. Eren and Floch are right.
