"Thaw"

The scouts are back! And it's so emotional for us... Chills everywhere this ep! Loving the music and animation as usual and we're starting to have existential dread knowing that the end is nearing. Thank you for watching with us and we'll see you on the next one!

i just want to point out that when this was originally airing - there was a long break between the last episode and this one - almost like a new season to be honest as the animation for the rest of the season took a long time. So we were left for months with that image of the Attack titan/Eren's face with that crazy stare as he goes full world holocaust - it was creepy As hell!

“There's a devil in all of us. Then what should we do? Escape the forest. Even if we can't, we've gotta keep trying." I love Nicolo’s answer to Gabi’s question and how it relates to the theme of getting out of the forest. The cycle of violence will never end because like Erwin said in Season 3, "Humans will continue to fight one another until the day there's one human or less". Pyxis even said back in Season 1, "If humankind perishes, it won't be because the titans devoured us. We will perish because we annihilated one another". Committing mass genocide might stop a specific population from hating others, but it doesn't stop people from hating each other. Because there's a devil in all of us. Everyone is capable of committing acts of violence and hatred. So what do we do if violence and conflict will always continue? We try our best to not further the cycle and even if we can't, we have to keep trying. It’s a lot harder and involves a great deal of time, patience, and risk, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to achieve it.

The Titan Gabi killed to save Kaya was Nile, the guy who arrested Erwin when he orchestrated the fight with Eren and Annie at the end of season one. Nile’s been there the whole time just to be turned Titan.

Joshua

After reading the manga, and being current..it’s not really worth it.

That's true. But we have the distance from the center to the outer most wall (480km), which, even if the walls aren't perfect circles, is sufficient to make a close enough estimate. Close enough anyway to determine wether its tens of millions of wall titans or rather hundreds of thousands.

B.G.

I handle my AoT-ending-induced existential dread by watching AoT reactors.

Anguis Viridis

The size of the walls were not explicitly stated

GABI REDEMPTION ARC CONTINUES!!! AND ANNIE IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!

what's worse is that those people that shadis saved were the same people that beat him up on flock's command. He still came back to save them because he knew that they either had to side with the "winner" at the time, or face the same fate he did. He chose not to bend the knee back then, he couldnt expect it from his own students... but he still came back for them... the man who thought he never mattered, came in clutch to save those who treated him like he didnt matter. And that made all the difference.

Cyber

It's great that you described how Shadis is inspiring them to be their own hero and not just sit around on the sidelines. I immediately thought, 'like a bystander,' since that was the name of his ep in season 3 and the legacy he thought he was relegated to - someone who sits on the sidelines.

Maia Brodsky

OOOHHHH MY GOSSHHHHH!! i CANNOT wait for your reaction to the rest! these last few episodes of the show left are absolutely insane. the events, the intensity, the parallels. its all just so good. and this episode does kind of just hit different. And i completely agree with you guys, kaya calling gabi sasha was a big moment given their history. and what commemorates that scene even more is that karissa even called gabi sasha by accident lol (understandably). then the actual death of pyxis... low blow for sure. hes been around since the very beginning. but then you get the reveal that annie is free! you guys are gonna love whats next.

Kaden Koennecke

Now straight to the end. I can't wait to hear, what girls think about ending.

Onomatopeja

Or do one video for each season.

The number of titans doing the rumbling is actually in dispute. The manga/show mentions tens of millions, but it's not clear wether that's meant to be taken literally. Some fans have calculated numbers ranging between 500k and 600k, taking the length off the walls and the size of a colossal into account. Other fans argue that that would be too small a number for what the rumbling does and that the tens of millions makes more sense. So... 😅

B.G.

A friend will help you move, a best friend will help you move a body, but Eren will... literally destroy the world for your sake? That seems a little extra.

draeonic 🪼

Whats PDA? I thought it was PSA(public service announcement) And PDA(public display of affection)

Reginald

Me casually telling my friends and loved ones that I'm gonna murder millions of innocent men women and children as well make a lot of animals extinct because they are gonna benefit from this. But in all seriousness I think this episode and episode 26 are like the last "calm" episodes

Excalibur Umbra

Annie The return: The episode

Reiner’s armor coming undone around his nape was his doing. Reiner’s armor didn’t fall off until the walls fell when he was running to protect Gabi.

Jake the Movie Geek

Fun fact: 5:00〜 The titan who emerges here is Saul Goodman(the author is huge Breaking Bad fan)

Yuki Ando

Gabi’s character arc is so freaking awesome

Jake the Movie Geek

It's really hard I can't wait for the last episodes !

Friboulet Hermine

I think it's kinda like 'a job' for them so they separate time for many animes and movies. For me i was holding for 10 years till there's announcements for final season and I started to watch AOT but I took only 3 days for reaching the last episode in that time which is ss4 ep6

Xanakone SPT

So close to the end!! You girls are so good at reacting, maybe once you finish you could mash up the all reactions into one video for the “colossal” reaction at the end. It’s a lot of editing but I’m sure your audience would love it!

Tristen O'Bannon

RIP Pyxis. I like that the team understands that no matter how horrified or disgusted they are by Eren's actions, they will benefit from them. And despite everything, this episode feels almost relaxing after the hectic confusion of the previous three. The other shoe has dropped. We know the scale of the horrors that await now.

draeonic 🪼

Them jumping off together is a reference or throwback to when they were cadets and had to clear the supply room of titans. They had guns and were on an elevator instead.

Luke Sciberras

How poetic is it that, the “safest” place was Pardis all along. And Marley thought they were living lavishly, safe and prosperous. In hindsight all their hatred towards Pardis is now raining back on their parade. What a scintillating juxtaposition to look at from up above!

Gin-liberio

I love that Shadis came in to save the cadets that had beat him up. The cadets were SO sure that they wouldn’t be fighting titans and that they needed to be trained to fight a modern army. Then Shadis coming in to literally save them from death was just perfect! It’s also special because in season 3 Shadis said he always felt like a bystander and never anyone who was significant or someone that could bring about change, I love that he gets to be more than a bystander now.

CainetheLongshot

they watch 3-4 episodes at once then edit. by now they are probably at 4x26/28

PKS

Just a heads up since we're quickly getting there, make sure to watch the credits/post credits of the final episode, there is a little "animation" :)

Dorak

You can tell what they reacted to in the same day because they are wearing the same clothes

Roadery

Im so glad they did

Reginald

Me personally i think they watch a bunch then edit then post periodically

I don’t know how reactors are able to keep it together only doing like 1 or 2 episodes a day lol maybe I need to work on self control

King Valor

Also the intro should be spoiler free now

Jeremy

Nice. Wasn't sure if you guys would do another episode this week.
