2024-05-14 21:58:31 +0000 UTCDang, this was an intense episode. Watching this for the first time a long with your reactions so I'm not prepared for anything coming up like I usually am. That explosion looked... pretty conclusive for Mariko. I'm betting it was indeed Torunagas plan. For one, it doesn't make sense for Ishido to spare her from suicide just to then kill her. The whole point was to make it seem like she wasn't held there under threat of death. Plus the way "Ishido" sent his message without a written letter like Yabusbige was expecting... means probably the servant who delivered the message was lying and working for Torunaga. We know already the Torunaga like to exploit Yabusbige's desire to do Ishido's bidding. I'm thinking our comedic relief guy is about to face a very unhappy Ishido.
