We now "know" both sides, we know there are no good or bad people, just people that look good or bad to you depending on where you stand, just like Armin told Annie in season 1. This is, like many people here said, the part where we fully realize the show moved from that tangent where we knew who we were and why we were fighting but now everything turned grey. And it's war so all the colors mute down and die, only grey ever remains. Can we really say, ultimately, if this attack is right or wrong? Fantastic decision, to start this part on the Marley side, and shows us people that have a good heart and/or a head on their shoulders. Also, what will be the consequences of the next generation? On the previous episode, Gabi's teeth clench was almost the exact same drawing of Eren in S01E02. Amazing writing, great reaction, my day improved ^^ Big hug to both of you and all the people going through this path with us.

I mean, that's one of the main themes of the show. Everyone has their own motivations and beliefs and, to an extent, they're all somewhat understandable. Looking at people as purely one thing or the other is what lead everyone to this point. Life is complex and so are all of us.

People in the walls had great lives for 100 years until the titan attack they were inside walls but they lived happy without being terrorised by another race and forced in to war. Being a scout was just a choice that some people made. The eldians of Marley had terrible lives being mistreated by Marli and for 100 years while the others lived in literal paradise apart from having walls

The original reason for the 13 year rule is that nobody was allowed to "surpass" the Founder Ymir. So, therefore, the clock does not reset because that would make Eren surpass Ymir. Good question though!

If you want to know why Porco/Jaw Titan didn't get the War Hammer, there's a few plausible reasons: 1. Gravity: Blood was falling straight down into Eren titan's mouth, likely would've been able to swallow it faster 2. Porco probably wasn't super down to swallow the WH's blood right then and there. 3. Titans don't have a digestive track, so it seems they don't have a need to swallow unless they are eating a person, so, Porco didn't likely have the reflex to swallow in titan form.

I'm on rewatch #75 now, and I still can't tell you how I feel about anything or anyone, both from the perspective of an episodal viewing feeling and from the perspective of someone who knows it all. That's the beauty of this show, the fact that it can make you feel this greyscale and granularity. Because the cycle of violence is not a black and white thing, we're living it right now in our day to day lives. Years of generational trauma and oppression and indoctrinations and one side wanting to eradicate the other for the crimes that they made, only to make more crimes that will spawn future revolutions on the other side, and the cycle continues... Because no one wins in war. War doesn't create victors, it only creates survivors... on both side... Survivors like Eren and Reiner, the scouts and the warrior candidates, Survivors that hope that they can leave the war behind, but the war itself never leaves them in kind. I mean just look at Reiner, he wants to die, he doesn't want to fight anymore, he's beaten down to the core, but the fight keeps coming back to him, and you can even see it reflecting analogously in how Reiner's Armored Titan's is stripped down to the raw bare minimum... He can barely stand up, but he HAS to stand up, because others need him to fight for them, even when he doesn't want to fight for himself. -- Insert "Now the show actually begins" meme.

Both Marley and Paradis had a corrupted hierarchy. Also, they weren't sure, the Paradis would use or not the Founding Titan at any moment. Remember that the Eldians dominated the world before and they only retreated to Paradis because of the King Fritz's vow.

Just wanna point out that when Armin had transformed, the Marley crew did not know that they had access to the power of the colossal titan. They just knew that paradise had captured the colossal and female titan. It’s another reason why I like the English dub a bit more (for me personally anyone else is free to enjoy the sub) because in the English version the cart titan says “It looks like they have the colossal now. They didn’t just kill bertoldt, they took his titan!” I feel like the choice of wording is better sometimes and the delivery of that line along with the shock and sadness in Pieck’s voice felt way more impactful, for me when it was in English. Heavily recommend that if you rewatch the show later down the road, give it a try in English! Absolutely love your content and can’t wait to see more! You guys are awesome! ❤️

Eren's always wanted freedom. Considering he ended last season by defining that as "killing all our enemies", he's certainly putting in the work.

1. A lot of the soldiers and upper brass military dudes that Eren killed are Marlians. 2. Marley purposely held the event in the internment zone knowing there would be an attack so they basically used the Eldians there as human shields, so I wouldn't put the casualties soley on our guys from Paradis because Marley literally planned for it to be that way, On top of that, most of the Eldians in the internment zone hate the ppl from Paradis, so just because they have the same blood doesn't make them allies. (Edit, of course killing innocent ppl isn't right, just saying that the people from Paradis don't have much of a reason value the Liberio Eldians more than anyone else just bc they are Eldians)

1) Eren used the jaw titan as a nutcracker because the jaw is the only one with the ability to get through the crystal 2) Eren drank/ate the war hammer because it’s blood will contain its spinal fluid which is where the Titan abilities reside in.
