2024-04-20 03:34:48 +0000 UTCI wouldn't be so sure. It's definitely hard to say for sure what Willy thinks, but attack on titan draws from a lot of real life issues. And racial guilt/hatred directed at one's own race is not unheard of in the current political climate.

He and Willy Tybur plotted to have the entire military command killed by grouping them together in the stands right where Eren could see them. The end goal being that Magath would obtain total control of the Marleyan military since all the higher-ups are dead. By being the first one to shoot back in what he knows will be a horrible massacre of the Marleyans, he's painting himself as a hero of the people. The heroic Magath isn't some armchair general, he literally was the first one to fight back against the evil Eldian empire. This will earn him massive popular support, and therefore support for his plan to invade Paradis.

He and his family are also Eldians (otherwise they wouldn't be able to wield the War Hammer), so I don't think he actually hates them. He saw Magath begin to hesitate in his resolve about going forward with the plan due to the number of deaths that would happen. And so he "reminded" him that Eldians are spawn of the devil, in order to ensure the plan would happen.

I thought I was too old to "fan girl" for anything. but that sound of the scouts gear and then the introduction of the characters one by one, had me fan girling like I never did for anything!! then imagine waiting a week for the next episode XD

Even after so many watches and I know itโs coming, I still get crazy excited (especially when Levi shows up). But like you said, itโs also hard to watch Eren slaughter so many people like that. This show is too good at conflicting us. So happy we finally made it here, canโt wait to hear your thoughts on the next episode!

But it's still shocking to him, as one of the Nine, that humans would be so eager to hunt him down as an intelligent titan. Should a senate or congress be held to put the blame on someone to be court marshalled, Magath will take responsibility and not his men.

Wilie Tybur's people caught wind of Eren being in Marley. My guess is they must of intercepted one the letters he sent. Wherein they decided to use his intention to acquire the Warhammer Titan as an opportunity to spring their own trap. A trap in which they would use Eren's attack to show the world how the Eldians from Paradis are in fact the "devils" everyone feared. Thereby also rallying other nations of the world to their side and against Paradis.

I still remember the feeling of seeing the Scouts swarm towards the Jaw titan and feeling an intoxicating mix of glee, fear, and pride in how far every one had come. Porco's reaction really drove home how terrifying the Scouts would seem to those unfamiliar with how insanely skillful they are.
