Luffy and Zoro fighting is actually one of a handful of moments where they feel out of character. Like... especially since we are fresh out of Arlong Park, where Luffy never once lost faith in Nami despite having every reason to. And Zoro has been an unquestioning ally since the beginning. Still a pretty funny scene, though.

It doesn't matter that Luffy acts weird by not trusting Zoro because BW spiked their drinks with booze, so Luffy's just a bit buzzed (and a sweet idiot). For some to say the fight is considered "filler" is an exaggeration to me. Oda didn't do it for the right reason but he did it so no point in denying it for the humor it adds. Humans are allowed to be inconsistent, they're not robots.

2024-04-18 01:53:37 +0000 UTCI know others have said it, but I want to reiterate that you shouldn't take the Luffy vs Zoro fight seriously at all. It was a forced inclusion by his editor evidently. Luffy does trust his crew completely and implicitly, you saw that with Nami in Arlong Park, and you see it more later. Consider the fight filler

2024-04-16 23:27:22 +0000 UTCApparently Oda got kind of forced to add a fight between Zoro and Luffy here by his editor back then, which is why a lot of people feel like it's completely out of character for Luffy to doubt someone from his crew.

Is it good idea to post these titles here or there's no need? :P Ep. 65 Exploding Santoryu! Zoro vs. Baroque Works! Ep. 66 A Serious Fight! Luffy vs. Zoro: The Baffling Duel! Explosive boogers reveal was nuts, great reaction XD Luffy vs Zoro was too silly but it's very understandable considering that Luffy has just awaken after such a good party and poor boy was devastated to see what happened. That's our captain! And it seems like both of you are already in love with Zoro. That's it for you Sanji, just go to kitchen XD

2024-04-16 17:08:01 +0000 UTCThese episodes give us a chance to see Zoro at fighting strength. Until now, he's normally been heavily injured before even going into big fights. We get a good look at how badass he can be when he isn't severely crippled by blood loss, open wounds, or starvation.

2024-04-16 14:56:21 +0000 UTCThese episodes and this whole arc made me a big Zoro fan many years ago. I am still thinking about getting a Zoro tattoo next to my tattoo of the Strawhat's Jolly Roger. He is such an amazing character and he got a really nice spotlight in these episodes.
