I agree with the first part of your statement, but the second part is unfortunately just not true. Most conflict in the world doesn't stem from a lack of understanding one another, it comes from having competing, mutually exclusive interests.

The best part of this show imho is how we get so invested in the characters and their stories. In your recording at the 13:05 mark - 13:20 mark you both think about the future of reiner and bert and there is a sad realization that something somehow is going to have to happen... this moment and many more like it before the series ends is what makes me rate the show 10/10. I get the quivering lower lip in my soul I swear

The best song is called "Apple Seed" that plays near the end of 3x15 and it's forever stuck in my head, it's so chilling and beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, you can't miss it.
