And in slang it's used for gang leader which is also the case later in the series.

Not sure why you bring this stupid theory up when it's been debunked by Oda SEVERAL times. Just stop already.

So fullbody is actually in the live action. When sanji tells two people “no fighting at baratie” and kicks down a gun, one of the people in that altercation is fullbody

MattF315

The "...since I don't know much about insects" comment in the dub was translated to something along the lines of "I'm not an expert but I think it's the backstroke". I'm guessing the joke is similar in some way but lost in translation lol

Mythrial

Just for fun counterpoints, nobody's right or wrong. They changed a whole lot more than that in the live-action though, entire storylines, plot developments, so so many character details for no apparent reason haha. But if a plot point wouldn't be recognized by a western audience the same way it would in Japan, and this is Netflix's English live action adaptation we're talking about, it's not too far of a leap to think they would change it. I do understand where you're coming from in regards to the human fragility points. My only argument there would be if we looked at One Piece world as a whole, the durability of human beings is wildly inconsistent. Some people die of starvation in days, some in months, some can get shot 100 times or survive exploding bombs... some can trip and die I guess.... some women are 29ft tall iron balloons that can bend steel beams like paper :D

Ziggy Stardust

I can watch the entire series with you without any breaks. But it's also nice to watch it leisurely like this. After all, it's never as good as the first time you watch it. Let's enjoy the adventure."

Not to criticize the autor but rather to provide an alternative viewpoint. It's not very logical that Kuina, after making a promise to her BEST FRIEND basically, would then decide to end her life, but the idea of human physical fragility, especially women fragility for Zoro, is a pretty important part of the character. The further you get into the show, the more noticeable this becomes. As for the phrase itself, it COULD mean suicide, or maybe not🙃. It could simply be another instance of people inventing 10 additional meanings for the blue curtains when the author simply wrote that the curtains were blue. But all of this is speculation. Oda hasn't said anything about it. (Except that in live action they completely removed any mention of the stairs, leaving only the fact of an accident. If it were truly important, I think Oda would have made sure that they leave at least some hint.)

Agreed and I hope if they do, they may do maybe three eps per session or something. Later on, the show relies heavily on flashbacks, recaps so the actual new content per episode is not much so should be easily incorporated without making the videos very much longer.

fr0st

next weeks eps gonna be rough LMAO

Nick

This is kind of a downer comment but Kuina's death is still debated by the fans to this day. It kind of flies over our heads but in Japan there's more of a shameful element to suicide... and saying someone "tripped and fell down the stairs" is sort of a way to conceal how they really died. When you factor in what she was going through and that given her age, she should probably be able to survive a fall without dying, it really starts making more sense. Again though, it's just a theory :)

Ziggy Stardust

I would love to see more of one piece, I know you are currently watching a lot of things simultaneously but right now I'm so excited to see more of your reactions to one piece, I'd love to see it if it's not an overdose of work for the both of you!

ItsCreex

In case you missed it, Luffy panicked when he saw Zeff's missing leg cause he thought the canon ball he failed to redirect blew it off lmao. He's dumb like that.

Arnold

If you decide to keep watching once you reach the point where the live action stopped (which most of us sincerely hope), do you think you can increase the number of episodes per week? Because with 4 episodes a week, we'd be looking at 5+ years of watching One Piece

Snowman9712

Yaaaaay! I was waiting for both these two episodes 💕 Why can't it be Tuesday already 🙈😂🥰

Mone

Oof, the hopefulness of Kuina and Zoro after their last battle to a training montage where they're more motivated than ever before to Kuina's sudden death and Zoro asking and receiving her sword, the Wado Ichimonji 😭😭😭 On another note, enter Sanji! I wonder what you'll think about this version of Sanji 😉

Ilsuk Yang

Fullbody is starting a fight with a pirate in the liveaction, which Sanji shuts down.

Simon Bjuhr

Another amazing reaction! I freaking love One Piece, the characters are amazing.

Nick

So Fullbody actually was in the live action! You see him very briefly when Sanji is introduced. He's fighting another customer and Sanji intervenes and beats both of them up.

Freeofgreed

Johnny and Yosaku are calling Zoro 'aniki' which translates to older brother. Aniki is almost never used for a biological brother, but for a sworn brother, a senior or in general a person who is a bit older and that you are close to and that you have high respect for.
