Added 2024-01-30 01:55:20 +0000 UTCYou'll need to sync up your own copy of the episode in order to watch along with us. Watched on Max. Open 2 windows, one with our reaction and one with the video, then arrange them how you see fit! Press Play on "Go".
We use a watch along format in order to comply with copyright laws.
If you're having trouble syncing then try this!
If you're on a PC, right click on the video that's playing faster and then click on "inspect".
Then go to the console tab in the new window that pops up and copy paste this into it: document.querySelector('video').playbackRate = 0.95910
You may need to make some minor adjustments, but this should fix it. Hope this helps!

While I liked the Speirs run and also the cathedral scene (including the discussion between Lipton and Speirs), my favorite moment in Episode 7: "Alright, I want mortars and grenade launchers on that building till it's gone. When it's gone, I want 1st to go straight in. Forget going around. Everybody else, follow me." --Lt. Speirs

2024-02-07 13:05:53 +0000 UTCI said before I’ll say it again the two of you watching this and reacting the way you do a lot about who you are as people yes mini series does tug at the heartstrings, but your reactions are so genuine and heartfelt. Keep up the good work don’t ever apologize for how you feel. It’s not an easy watch, but watching it certainly allows people to game a greater appreciation for who these men were, and what they did.

2024-02-05 01:33:41 +0000 UTCShelling is almost universally described by those who've experienced it as the worst possible experience in war. Even in a regular firefight, you have some agency to keep yourself alive, but under shelling all you can do is get in a hole and pray. A hole will shelter you from shrapnel, but a direct hit is still possible. I can't imagine the sheer amount of stress and fear that the human mind must experience in that situation. It's no wonder they used to call ptsd "shell shock."

2024-02-03 02:03:14 +0000 UTCAs others said, the last few eps are emotional, but if you can get through them I highly recommend watching The Pacific if you haven't already (if you have, ignore my comment haha). It's made by the same people who made this, but while Band of Brothers follows Easy Company in Europe, The Pacific follows 3 different groups of Marines fighting the Japanese in the Pacific. The Pacific is definitely a much, much tougher show to watch, with A LOT more graphic violence. While Band of Brothers focuses on the camaraderie, honor, and hope amongst soldiers, with the brutality of war as the background, The Pacific focuses mainly on the brutal horrors of war and puts it at the forefront, and how that affects the Marines. It shows how some Marines succumbed to the horrors of war, whilst others persevered through & displayed tremendous heroics and brotherhood towards each other. It might seem like my description is making it seem too dark, but there are genuine moments of humor, hope, and courage, and it also has a STACKED cast. The Pacific is such an insanely rewarding show to watch, in a different way than Band of Brothers, especially since it highlights the different struggles and heroics of the Marines in WW2, and the horrors they had to overcome (it also has just as an emotional intro musical theme as Band of Brothers, if not more). I may be biased, as I was surrounded by their monuments and studied their stories extensively during my time at the US Naval Academy, and we have a goodhearted rivalry with West Point and the Army, but I truly believe the story of WW2 Marines deserves to be watched and experienced as well. In any case, if my comment hopefully piqued your interest, "The Pacific | Trailer | Warner Bros. Entertainment" trailer shows what you can expect without spoiling anything.

2024-01-31 10:34:57 +0000 UTCI super prefer this content wise though I get to pick between full or edited not wait for the edited and get tired waiting and watch the full for example. Having both out at the same time is great and super far ahead of YT. Great workflow whomever is doing it haha.

2024-01-30 05:20:10 +0000 UTCFair question! It's just because we take the edited portion of our discussions and add them to the full length versions so that you guys can have that as well! So my work flow is to just do the edited video and then the full length afterwards. We try to get them up at the same time, but occasionally the uploading and processing of the longer full length video takes longer than expected.

2024-01-30 02:18:21 +0000 UTCI have a quick question - how come you guys post both full length and edited versions at the same time? Since it requires less editing, could we maybe get the full length version early? If not, totally understand!
