I made this while I was out camping. Was working on this by the campfire. Was a ton of fun as I was focusing on just getting smooth movement and intentional action. Also trying to get better at being on model as well.

Back to work on the new update! I took a small break since the release but it's not back to work.
I'm really surprised at how smooth this release went. Especially with how much changes were made to the game under the hood. I guess that's what taking your time and being thorough during the bug testing phase goes.

I just created an itch.io page for also hosting the latest builds for Lyla's Curse.
It's finally here! It's been way to long and I thoroughly appreciate everyone who stuck with me through this long development phase. There was a whole exploration/combat module that was originally being developed that was never finished. I ended up cutting it to go just move forward with the story. Right at the last few days of trying to button this up, I got super sick. That was tough to muscle through, but now I can rest with the release sent out.
Hey Everyone!!! Bug testing has been great! Game seems to be running pretty smooth. I spent the last couple of days updating the UI....finally! Lol. I'm currently remaking the environment buttons to fix the issue with the weird white outlines.

Whoot! Finally finished the first stability pass and first round of bug fixes. This means I can finally move onto exporting the build and preparing to send out to a group of bug testers :) Then move onto releasing V0.1.50.

Hey Everyone! I'm still working through the bug hunting and stability phase. I was hoping to put time towards it during the work week last week but was not able to start bug testing until the weekend. Last week was really insane for me with my job and personal life.
This weekend I put about 18 hours into bug testing and stability fixes. I still haven't finished going through the full game yet, I spent a lot of time fixing older bugs, adjusting some dialogue, etc....

Hey Everyone! I'm really really close now. I just reached a big milestone which was finishing of posing all of the scenes. This took freaking forever. I think over these last 4-5 weekends, it's taken me about ~80-90 hours to finish this phase@.@

I severely underestimated how long I thought it would take me to finish the rest of the content. I put another 22 hours in this weekend focused primarily on programming. Sunday was focused only on posing for one scene. It was a big scene but still, I forgot how long that can take me sometimes.

Hey Everyone! I hate to do this but I need another week or two. It's mostly just programming that's kicking my ass a bit. Since my last status update, I thought I can close everything like in that time frame but had a lot personal stuff requiring my attention that slowed me down on development.
I get most of my dev time in on the weekends which is why I use week increments generally.

If you celebrate it, Happy Independence Day!
This was a fun thing to knock up today before heading out for fireworks and grilling. The fireworks are a particle simulation with the water being an animated bump texture which made it way faster to knock up then having to simulate the water. Reflections aren't that great but whatev's, I did this in like 1.5 hours lol.
