2024-02-02 21:24:15 +0000 UTCJust for a future reference since it happens quite often during this part- the east Blue is the sea that they are in- and while a lot of pirates consider themselves the BEST of some kind -they usually are also maybe just the best within the east blue- there is also the north, south, and west lol and then of course the grandline which is another power level entirely (maybe it wasn't a thought even but I always notice how everyone will start with how they are "the best" in some way lol)

2024-01-24 20:55:04 +0000 UTCFor the sake of adapting a lot of content into each episode, we kind of lost that Klahador/Kuro does seem actually sympathetic and fond of Kaya during his day job, which makes the twist bigger when you see his plan and real identity. In the Live Action, he absolutely comes off as a bit sus. Excited to see what you think of the anime as you continue watching!

2024-01-23 15:29:26 +0000 UTCYeah you hit the nail on the head about the difference between live action and the anime when it comes to Usopp and one of the slight issues I had with his portrayal in the live action. At this stage in the story even though he's on the surface a coward, there's a fearless warrior underneath when it matters most. He'll stand against those that mock or endanger people he cares about, even if he knows they're stronger. In the live action they leaned super hard into the bravado and cowardice, which while key traits aren't the true core of Usopp's character. He's supposed to be a guy who is actually the bravest guy in the room he just doesn't know it.
