Also, I strongly encourage you to watch OVA 6 and 7 as well as they are spoiler-free from where you are at on the show currently and has great backstory and characterization.

I personally recommend watching it between Episode 1 and Episode 2, but you could watch it now if you haven't started season 2 somehow already xD

2024-01-18 15:51:22 +0000 UTCSAME!!! It wasn’t until season 4 that I really started to understand the genius of the show, and then when I rewatched earlier seasons my mind was blown. This is one of those that is a billion times better on rewatch. It’s now my favorite show of all time and I’m still not tired of it even after probably 15 rewatches. Every single time I notice new things or it just clicks into place. A masterpiece!

And I know others have said it but I can’t stress enough the fact that each season is better than the last. It’s crazy that this is my least favorite season even though it’s so good. But you can even watch Isle's notebook whenever. It was suppose to be apart of season 1 episodes? but they couldnt find the right timing to fit it in, iirc. As always, i love how locked in you guys are. even reading the miner midcards before the episode ends. Edit: Oh you guys are going to watch it!

Joining you on this journey will be my 5th time watching and it just doesn't get old. Looking back now, its weird how i didn't consider it the best thing ever on my first watch when i was doing weekly episodes as they were released. I thought it was great but i wasn't crazy about it. Then rewatching it before the final season was released quite literally changed my life. Love the reactions aswell, all the best to you two.

My (now) spouse and I watched Season 1 in 2013 when it originally aired and had to wait 4 years for Season 2 to be released so there's certainly a benefit to starting the show now that all the content is released. And as amazing as the show is, it gets even better on re-watch because there are so many clues and themes that have more meaning once you have the context of the full story.

You guys let us get a taste of what it was like to watch this for the first time again and we're grateful for it! Personally I miss you guys vibing to the intro every ep like in the first half of the season. If you made the decision on your own pls ignore, but if someone told you that the intros have spoilers I'd personally say they're a touch over-zealous trying to protect you guys. I watch a lot of aot reactions and more often those over-protective people end up spoiling the reactor by being the ones to tell them that "these images are literal!" when they would have had no way to know that in the first place, you dig? Or they say "you can watch the intro after episode X" and thereby spoil that something important happens in episode X. Anyway moral of the story keep making your content however you guys want to, *keep skipping it if that's the way you prefer to watch!* But in my opinion I think all the intros are safe to watch, 75-100% symbolic. The showrunners knew what they were doing, they didn't set out to ruin their own story for attentive viewers
