I’ve watched the series many times. My grandfather and Great Uncle both fought in World War II. I never knew, cause they never really talked about it. This show does a great job of depicting the real events that happened to these real men. The memorial at the end of Ep 2 is in honor of WWI. Both you guys are great reactors who seem to really understand the gravity of the events. Very knowledgable about history and reverent and respectful. Hard to find lately. I would definitely love to watch more of your reactions. Thanks for posting them. Keep up the great work.

Hello Ladies,

Kevin Cavanaugh

I love your guys' reactions. You're very sensitive, but also very smart and knowledgeable, and you pay close attention to what's going on.

Ladies, I've watched many reactions to this mini-series .. and the only one I've gone " patreon " is yours. I'm from the UK, just turned 60, and I lost my Grandfather on 26th July 1943, during WW2. Another Great Uncle lost a leg as a dispatch rider in North Africa, and another helped liberate Japanese POW's at the end of the War. Two other Great Uncles also served, and my wife's Grandfather was a Japanese POW for 4 years, being captured at the fall of Singapore. I grew up knowing these amazing men, in my case British, but Americans, Canadians, New Zealanders, South Africans and Irishmen ... there is a reason they were known as " The greatest generation " .. They smoked, used what we would call " racial slurs ", and drank too much ... they can be forgiven, without them, we would not be here today, with the freedoms we enjoy. Greetings from across the pond ... Chris, Lancashire England X

Late to the show but subbed to you after seeing your reaction to Ep1 on youtube. I'm very impressed by your attention to what's going on, I've watched A LOT of BoB reactions, and I think you're one of the first who noticed that Buck got bumped and that's what caused him to drop that grenade in the trenches. Many reactors also don't pick up on the flaming plane having been Meehan's but you caught that as well. I can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes you've put out already! I really enjoy all the little observations you also make throughout, you really are very knowledgeable about what's going on. 10/10 will definitely recommend you to others! :) About the maps Winters found, Nixon says in the episode that he had them sent to division, but in reality, Nixon ran them back himself all the way to the beaches 3 miles away because he knew just how vital this information was. The high command located there was so grateful for this piece of intelligence that they sent the first 2 tanks who got off Utah beach to reinforce the 101st to thank them for this. They're the 2 tanks Nixon was riding on coming into town. The 2 tanks were used to flush out the remaining Germans at Brecourt Manor.

Ur going to see a lot of racial slurs on both sides. But that's how ppl can be convinced to kill other humans is by dehumanizing them. It's how the whole nazi regime came to be. Those young soldiers where raised to believe anything but the Uber race was an insult to humanity.

SKR_13

kinda spoiled the end to Haylo and kiss :/

the show came out 2 days before 9/11

All of the older guys at the beginning of the show are from Easy Company and portrayed at some point, so this is very real.

The war begins for real

Such powerful television. That battle scene when I first watched it put my heart in my throat as well. Can't imagine the horrors that transpired in reality but this show does an amazing job of getting as close to it as it can get and I respect them for it. It's uncomfortable, anxiety inducing, but knowing what these brave people, each with a name and life, did selflessly is truly awe inspiring. Reminds you this show may be about the horrors of war, but it's true core is the hearts of the young men who fought it and in recognising that, keep their memory alight long after they've passed.

It was worth the wait :)

16:03 you're absolutely right. That powdered stuff is Sulfonamide. It was in every soldier's med-kit and it was a disinfectant.

Great Reaction! This show is going to keep tugging at your Heartstrings be ready.

Hope you both are okay with all the weather that is happening. Another great reaction and we'll worth the wait. So just a few things, before they left England they were given what they referred to as crickets....it was a non verbal way of identifying themselves. One click was to be met by two clicks, that along with "Flash" and the countersign "Thunder". The Germans had flooded quite a bit of the Normandy countryside which made the landings difficult.

Subscribed for this, so excited!!!!!!!!!
