This is the day after the survey corp expedition( which lasted less than 24 hours) The expedition was 1 month (a time skip) after the colossal titan second appearance (battle of trost), which also lasted a day. This show is PACKED. its insane

2024-01-12 17:42:01 +0000 UTCRemember when they wanted to do tests on Eren and they put him in a well? That was to make sure he couldn't go anywhere if he lost control, if I'm not mistaken. I think they applied the same logic here and that's why they wanted to go underground. I don't think the sunlight played a role in their plan, because we saw with the 2 captive titans (Bean & Sawney) that they can remain active for hours after sundown. Love your reactions!
