LMAO fun fact Emily Rudd has been obsessed with One piece and Nami before she was casted. She said she would be okay if her acting career was done after this series cause of this role. lol

Don't play with our hearts like that lol "Do you wanna watch the anime?" My eyes lit up! Cause it is such a journey and my goodness you will laugh, cry, sing and dance along with it! I'm taking a trip to Japan in 2025 where I'll be getting my first tattoo and it's going to be a One Piece one :)

Super stoked if y'all pick up the anime. I've rewatched it numerous times and each time you pick up on new meaningful connections, new jokes, and foreshadowing. It's a series that makes you laugh at the goofy shenanigans of the crew, cry with joy and sadness, rage at yet also understand villains, and jaw drop at the world building in this lovely, epic, absurdist pirate fantasy. The anime/manga has begun the Final Saga, the last stretch of multiple story arcs, and the end is in sight! As someone who's watched and read one piece for the past 22 years, I'm know I'm gonna be devastated when the series ends. Definitely gonna get a One Piece tattoo when it does.

I love that discussion between Garp and Zeff. Especially the line where Zeff compares the new generation to the Micqueot wines, "perfectly aged and ready to be enjoyed. Leave it too long and it'll go bad", but Garp replies with "Or you just serve whiskey" which gets better with age. That's a live action original character interaction and dialogue, since the story flow in the anime/manga is different. The anime does some things much better imo, such as Zoro's backstory, Syrup Village, and Baratie goes quite differently. It's good to think of the live action as an alternate universe, where the spirit of the series and the characters are the same, but slightly adjusted for live action and modern streaming TV audiences, compared to weekly shonen fans from the late 90s.
