Chapter #8: Helping Susan, part I.

Two days ago…

“That was fun!” Harry said with a cheerful expression as he left the defense against the dark arts classroom.

He was walking hand in hand with his girlfriend who was smiling brightly at him, she knew how much he loved this class and his current expression full of happiness was becoming more and more usual and that was something she loved to see, after all, she loved the intellectual side her boyfriend has, she loves his streets smarts but more than anything else, she loves his intellectual side that this year has been completely unleashed.

Even though they had gotten used to their new classmates, it’s clear that Harry won’t behave in the same way he did with Ron and his other former dorm mates and even though there are some of his former dorm mates studying with him, it’s not the same, the war changed everything but at least in the bright side of the circumstances, Harry is getting better grades.

She hates to admit it but being without Ron is benefitting her boyfriend, the redhead is not a bad person, and he’s not even a bad student but Ron only puts effort into the subjects he loves the most, and of course, Harry being his best friend, he followed the same mentality as the redhead but now that Harry had more time to relax, he’s focusing on putting efforts on all the subjects and he seems to be doing great.

“Yeah this last lesson about cursed objects was very interesting,” Hermione said as she held her boyfriend’s hand tightly.

They continued chatting as they walked through the hallways but then, they heard a voice calling them, it was a voice they had gotten used to hearing often this year.

“Harry, Hermione!” Said the feminine voice.

“Susan!” Harry and Hermione expressed at the same time.

They were surprised to hear the desperate tone in the redhead’s voice but they decided to let her catch her breath, she seemed to be a little worried which made the couple worried too but they tried to not show it.

“Susan, what’s going on? Are you okay?” Asked Harry with the warmest smile Susan had ever seen.

“Uh…Yes, I'm physically okay…There’s nothing wrong going on Harry, thanks for asking,” the redhead said while blushing.

“But something is going on, right?” Asked Hermione with a raised brow.

She was interested to see what the redhead was hiding from them and why she needed them, Hermione could also tell that the redhead had a crush on her boyfriend but that was not a problem, Hermione had gotten pretty used to seeing witches and muggle women fall for her boyfriend just like he has gotten used to the popularity of his girlfriend in both the magical and muggle world.

“Yes…As you know, Professor Tonks is asking for a final project…” Susan started.

“Yes, we have to choose a spell from the list of spells that most wizards and witches consider to be the hardest, then, we have to make a full investigation on the spell we choose,” Hermione explained just in the way Tonks did the day she assigned the final project.

Hermione thought it was like a thesis but this class wasn’t the only one, the rest of the classes did the same thing and Hermione couldn’t help but feel challenged and excited, the idea of doing a thesis was interesting for the brown-haired witch.

“Yes, you see…I choose the Patronus charm and well, I don’t know how to say this…” Susan was clearly nervous.

They’ve indeed become closer this year but it wasn't enough for them to trust her or at least that's what Susan thought until Harry couldn’t help but smile at her.

“And you need our help, right?” Asked Harry with an amused smile.

“Yes, you guys did an amazing job during the days of Dumbledore's army and I learned how to cast a patronus but just the base form, you two are one of the few people that I know can cast a corporal patronus, so, yes, I would like to ask you guys for help, but of course, I know you’re as busy as me or even more, so, if you don’t have time you don’t have to force yourselves—” Susan was suddenly stopped by Hermione who raised her hand.

“Relax Susan…We’ll help you,” Hermione said with a happy smile.

“Really? Are you sure about it?” Asked the redhead trying to contain her happiness as much as she could.

“Of course, we will Susan, we can do that on Sundays, that’s the day Harry and I are completely free, our schedule was perfectly planned before the term started so we could have the Sundays completely free, so, don’t worry about it Susan, we’ll help you after breakfast, does that sound okay to you?” Asked Hermione with a warm smile.

The redhead nodded furiously before she thanked both Harry and Hermione, the two of them had their faces buried between Susan’s bosom, but they didn’t have the willpower to make her stop, in fact, Hermione wanted to do more than this with Susan and this situation gave her an idea…

Back to the present...

Harry, Hermione, and Susan were walking out of the great hall, they just had breakfast and now were on the way to the room of requirements, and they were chatting about classes and homework, this year has been good for the three of them, and with each day that keeps passing, they’re feeling the graduation and the adult responsibilities getting closer and closer and that’s something that worries but excites them at the same time.

Once they reached the room of requirement that had been turned into a comfortable common room designed by Hermione as it had a very muggle design, each one of them sat on a sofa.

“So…What do you want us to review today Susan?” Asked Harry with a curious expression.

The redhead suddenly took a notebook with her notes which surprised Harry and Hermione, Susan was a pureblood and she was using a muggle notebook, which was quite a surprise.

“This is the way I work, I write notes before writing the real content on the parchment…Could you guys tell me if I got something wrong in my introduction?” Asked the redhead with a calm expression.

Harry and Hermione shared an amusing look and nodded.

“Well then, if you excuse me…” The redhead said before she started to read out loud what she wrote in the introduction.

Hermione and Harry were taking notes, and the two of them were completely paying attention to the redhead’s words, they were surprised by the content she wrote, and in some cases, they were confused about some of the information, it took Susan twenty minutes to finish reading what she wrote.

“Ah…So, what do you guys think? Do you have some suggestions?” Asked Susan with a concerned expression.

Soon, Hermione started to give Susan advice to make her text more interesting and she also reminded her to put the name of the book or the sources where she got the information, meanwhile, Harry was helping her by adding more context to the use of the Patronus spell and some of the effects but also, the toll it takes on the body something Susan was aware of but not by a big extent, after all, even if she learned how to do it (noncorporal) she had barely used the charm.

Susan took notes of everything, after all, Harry and Hermione were being so gentle about it, she remembers the last time she asked her aunt for some tutoring, and even though she loved the woman, she wasn’t good at teaching.

“Thank you so much guys, I think my project is starting to look even better thanks to you two!” The redhead said happily.

Harry and Hermione were happy to see Susan so happy.

“Well, I guess it’s time for payment…Right?” Asked Susan and now Harry and Hermione were completely confused.

And their confusion became bigger the moment the redhead decided to get rid of her blouse and free her incredible breasts that were covered by a sexy red lace bra that Hermione thought looked to be of muggle design. To say that Harry and Hermione were shocked would be an understatement.
