Chapter #7: Hermione's plans.

The first week has been going great for Harry and Hermione, they’ve been adjusting themselves to being classmates with the people that used to be in a year below them, it was difficult for Harry to get used to the treatment from his new classmates, after all, the people in his generation were already used to being classmates with the boy-who-lived and now his new classmates had to get used to being classmates with the man-who-conquered.

Also, it was an interesting experience for them to get used to having their rooms, of course, they also had a common room they shared with the other people who couldn’t attend last year but they also could enter Gryffindor’s common room if they wanted, however, the inter-house interactions were interesting.

As for the classes, Hermione has been excelling in all of them just like she’s used to and Harry’s trying his best to get good grades this time, this is his last year and he doesn’t have to worry about dying or having a mortal enemy, it was an interesting but well-welcomed change of pace for the dark-haired wizard.

As for their new teachers, Hermione was surprised by Fleur, but not because of how much knowledge the French witch had about ancient runes, after all, they had chatted about the subject so many times in the past, no, Hermione was surprised by how good of a teacher she was, she was clearly knowledgeable, she knew what she was doing but she was explaining everything in a way that even someone like Ron would understand.

Neither Harry nor Hermione had to take muggle studies anymore but from what they heard, Andromeda was a good teacher, she was good at explaining the new concepts she was introducing, and she had to ditch the standard book with the one her husband wrote, she wanted to keep the legacy of her deceased husband by using that book to pass the knowledge to the new generation of wizards and witches.

Hermione can't help but smile every time someone asks her about the modern muggle inventions, it seems like Andromeda is taking the non-muggle-raised students closer to the end of the millennium when it comes to muggle stuff and she can’t help but smile due to this fact, this is a small step to erase some of the prejudices the wizarding world has about their non-magical counterparts.

Defense against the dark arts has been interesting, neither Harry nor Hermione knew what to expect about this class, well, they personally knew Tonks and they knew she was an Auror which meant that she was perfectly qualified to teach the dark arts but they were also aware of her goofy side, so, it was difficult at first to see her as a teacher but they're getting used to.

But surprisingly, Tonks has made sure to show her class a new side, not a strict one but neither a relaxed one, Hermione thought of the Auror as a balanced teacher, she explains the theory in a simple way and she's even better when it comes to practice, Harry and Hermione hadn’t had a class as fun as this since professor Lupin taught them, however, they decided to not tell Tonks about it, the last thing they wanted was to make her feel sad.

And the most impressive teacher has been Narcissa Black, it’s like she becomes another person when she’s teaching, she makes sure to remind each student about safety when it comes to potion brewing, and just like Snape used to do, she writes the instructions but she's gentle about it and the blonde explains each ingredient and why it is used while they're brewing.

Just like she promised, she has never shown favoritism towards Slytherin which clearly had annoyed some of the returning students who were part of Draco’s circle, and she even complimented Hermione and gave her some advice which made Hermione really happy, this was the first time she felt safe and happy in the potions classroom and even though she knew about Snape’s sacrifice that doesn’t change the fact that he sucked as a teacher.

As for their activities outside of class, well, let’s say that Harry and Hermione have been having fun on their bed without rest, they indeed have their private rooms and they can spend time with each other but McGonagall made them swear that they wouldn’t use it to have sex and Hermione wasn’t going to disappoint her favorite teacher.

It doesn’t mean that they didn’t do it in other places, thankfully they had the room of requirement that surprisingly was safe once again, it seems like the fyendfire that destroyed the diadem was gone, and thankfully they were able to turn it into their perfect love chamber with a perfect bed.

It’s in this place where Hermione, Harry, and Luna have been having fun with each other’s bodies, the blonde Ravenclaw turned out to be so much more of a pervert than Hermione and Harry initially thought and speaking about Harry…

“What are you doing love?” Hermione suddenly heard someone saying.

She had been writing how her life had been this first week in her diary, she was in her private room sitting on her desk but she wasn’t alone anymore, she was joined by Harry who brought her a plate with biscuits in one hand and a cup of tea with the other.

“Ah…Just like what I needed…Tea, biscuits, and a handsome man by my side!” Hermione winked at Harry who just chuckled before he sat beside her.

“I'd be happy to act as the handsome man you need whenever you want,” Harry smiled at her, and then, they shared a short kiss.

“Oh, your diary...I thought you were writing to your parents,” Harry said moving his gaze from his girlfriend’s diary.

The last thing he wanted was for her to get mad at him for not respecting her privacy, still, he was curious about it but decided to not test his luck.

“I already wrote them a letter and I already sent it, I’m glad you got a new owl, I know it wasn’t easy for you but I’m sure Hedwig is happy you’re taking care of a new owl,” Hermione said as she smiled and caressed one of his cheeks.

Harry couldn’t help but nod sadly and Hermione's touch became even more soft, she knew how much Hedwig's death affected him.

“She was the best familiar I could have but…I never realized how helpful an owl is until we were on the run,” Harry couldn’t help but sigh.

His new owl was a male one, it was brown, and the bird seemed to be as smart as Hedwig, well, maybe all the owls are smart and he’s just overhyping his familiars but he feels that’s the case with his new owl.

“I wanted to know what you were writing but now that I see that you're writing in your diary I guess I’ll never know,” Harry couldn’t help but say with a disappointed tone and Hermione just giggled.

“Oh, don’t worry about it, it’s nothing weird, I was just writing about how the first week has been, and I also wanted to write about the plans I have for this year but not only for me, it’s also for you, after all, once we graduate we’ll have to get a job!” Hermione said with a tone full of authority.

Harry couldn’t help but sigh, that’s the thing he has been trying to avoid, he doesn’t want to think about which career path he should take but he was Hermione’s boyfriend which means that great things are expected of him.

“I also wanted to write my plans to seduce our new teachers and our classmates who are of age!” Hermione declared happily and Harry was on the verge of choking on his tea the moment he heard that.

He wanted to protest but there was something he couldn’t deny, the idea of sleeping with one of their hot teachers didn’t sound so bad.
