“Well, I guess it should be obvious what we should do…” Hermione said in a serious tone.

“Yes…We need to take the water one…I don't like to brag but I'm very reliable when it comes to strange creatures, even when it comes to those that are from the sea!” Charlie said with a motivated tone.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea, while I don't doubt your abilities, you need to remember that we barely know ten percent of sea creatures, we don't want to find ourselves fighting against one or multiple unknown creatures, right? We should take our risks and do the one who looks to be more suited for a curse breaker!” Victoire declared.

After the mess she went through in this first test, she wanted to prove herself, and doing something related to her field would be the best opportunity to show everyone (especially Harry) that she’s not useless.

“Are you sure about this Vicky? Please don’t think wrong of me, I know you’re an exceptional witch and you have a promising future as a curse breaker but…You’re still in the early stages of your career…” Charlie said to his niece.

Even if he felt like he offended her a her expression wasn't amused, he felt that they needed an experienced curse breaker for a test like that.

“Lucero…You said that the first test that what awaits us in the first door is a battle one, right?” Asked Harry now getting involved in the conversation.

“Yes, but I don’t think it would be a battle like the one we had in this level…I don’t know how many types of battles you can find here but my grandpa told me that during his lifetime, he saw battles against team members, strange creatures, giant insects, inferius, ghosts, zombies, basilisks, and in some cases even a thousand dragons…However there are also battles against cursed objects but as far as I know, he only saw two of them during his lifetime!” Lucero explained to the group, they couldn't help but gulp after the explanation.

The especially disappointed one was Harry, he was more than open to fighting anyone or anything that crossed their path, but he hated when he had no idea what he had to face, he hated random events like this.

“I think we should choose the one our curse breaker recommends…The one with the cube,” Lucero pointed out.

Victoire was surprised, she didn’t expect the Mexican witch to vouch for her, Lucero suddenly stared into the blonde’s eyes and smiled at her, Vicky smiled back at her.

“Yes…It doesn’t sound too bad really, curse breakers usually explore ruins, and abandoned temples with puzzles and other mysteries, however, in those places there are always strange creatures and questions that require a lot of knowledge, and you need a strong team to survive through a place like that…I think we can manage,” Harry smiled at them. “I think we as a team are more than capable of surviving this ordeal,” he added with a smirk.

Victoire was happy that Harry was agreeing with her idea and it didn’t take too long for her to send a bright smile at him, the others were thinking about his proposal and they were trying to find a way to avoid a test like that, after all, there’s a reason why being a curse breaker is considered a very dangerous profession, however, they knew this was the best option they had, what Lucero and Harry suggested made sense.

“Yes…Let’s do it,” Hermione said with a serious tone.

“Alright…I can be of help if we find ourselves a dragon or another strange creature!” Charlie was motivated.

Victoire nodded and then she got close to the door, she remained in silence as she stood in front of the door with a cube before she looked at her teammates who soon, nodded at her.

The moment they entered they could feel an eerie sensation, everything was dark, but little by little, some torches were lit, and soon, they managed to find themselves in what looked to be a lost temple, the design of the temple reminded them of the Mayan pyramids.

“Wow!” Charlie said as he saw that blocking the next door, there was one thing that would make anyone feel a little curious.

The place was covered with many artifacts made of gold, and all those things were blocking the entrance to what Victoire thought was the next level in the temple, and even if the things appeared to be nothing out of normal, she was a little wary about them.

“Wait a minute, don’t touch anything!” Victoire stopped them before they got too close to the pile of golden objects.

“What is it, Vicky? Do you think there’s a trap under those golden things or that they could be cursed?” Asked Hermione with a concerned tone.

“Lumos!” Vicky said and soon, her wand had a little light on the top,

She was moving her wand as close as she could to the nearest pile of artifacts that were apparently made of gold, she was analyzing a staff and then she sighed.

“These objects aren't made of gold…It looks pretty but it’s fake, it doesn’t have the right color and it feels fake, it doesn't have the magical sensation authentic gold gives, I don’t think we can trust this…In many Gringotts vaults, there are traps set by curse breakers and other staff to avoid someone breaking in, in case anyone who isn’t one of the family members or a Gringotts staff touches anything, that object could multiply itself endlessly until it drowns, and kills the perpetrator!” The blonde explained with a calm tone.

Then, Harry and Hermione’s eyes widened, they remembered the same thing right now and nodded at each other.

“That sounds just like…What happened when we broke into Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault!” Hermione said with a shocked tone.

“Just what I thinking…We need to test that theory,” Harry said with a calm tone.

He took out his wand and soon, close to the pile of gold, he made a hole in the ground with magic but the hole was filled with lava, then, he levitated a necklace with many gemstones, and he put it above the hole.

“Hermione…Could you throw a rock on this object?” Asked Harry with a calm tone and his best friend nodded.

She carefully took a rock from the ground and threw it into the necklace and surprisingly, the moment the rock touched the necklace, it started to multiply at a crazy pace, luckily, all the copies were falling into the lava hole Harry transfigured it didn't take too long for the copies to melt, so, he suddenly threw the original on the lava and to everyone’s relief, the multiplication stopped.

“Well, now we know that was enchanted, we can risk ourselves and find if there are some that aren’t enchanted but I think we should just throw everything in the lava,” Harry told them with a concerned tone.

“I agree…I think this was a test, a greedy person would have easily failed as they could get drowned by the endless copies that could appear even if you touched the smallest object with the petal of a rose…Let’s get rid of everything,” Victoire agreed with the green-eyed wizard.

It didn’t take too long before they started to throw all the treasures into the lava hole Harry transfigured, it was a little exasperating throwing them one by one but they didn’t want to risk making the hole too big or triggering something in this room that could kill them out of nowhere, it took them ten minutes but they finally managed to clean the room and they were surprised to find five unlit torches and they also realized that the door they wanted to enter was now closed.

“Well, I think we need to light the torches to open the next—” Victoire couldn’t finish as she was suddenly interrupted by her uncle Charlie.

“Don’t worry guys…I’ll take care of this!” Charlie said with a motivated tone.

“No, wait, I think we need to find the right pattern to—” Victoire tried to warn them but it was too late.

Her uncle Charlie had already lit up the torches and their eyes suddenly widened as a giant metal stake was about to fall over them.
