“Vicky…It’s okay, drink this!” Harry said as he slipped the contents of a vial Lucero gave him into Victoire’s mouth.

The Mexican witch decided to let him do it because she knew the blonde trusted the older wizard, the last thing she wanted was to waste time, this was just the second level and they needed to keep going.

One thing about this place is that time moves very differently from what they're used to, you can feel like you’re spending a few hours here when in reality in the outside world it could been just a few minutes and in worse cases, months, so, they needed to get going, the last thing they wanted was to come out and find out that the world has ended or something like that.

“Ah…That’s…I feel better, this potion doesn’t taste bad…It tastes like my favorite fruit, not like the ones we have back home,” Victoire said with a slight blush on her face as she watched Harry in a very interesting position.

He was on his knees and he was holding her in his arms, she couldn’t stop staring at his emerald-piercing eyes, and even though she had been hurt and she was worried about her safety a few minutes ago, she was feeling slightly better.

“Yes, our potions are charmed to make you think that you’re drinking a juice of your favorite fruit, in my case it’s always mango!” Lucero told her with a proud smile.

Victoire felt a little bad as she looked at the Mexican witch, ever since their first encounter, Victoire started to see her as a threat, and yet, she was acting so nicely towards her that she felt awful about the way she had treated the poor witch and she did it just because of a hypothetical relationship between she and Harry.

“T-Thank you, Lucero…It tasted like strawberry for me,” Victoire said with a weak smile on her face as she tried to treat the other younger witch better.

“Don’t, worry, I’ll teach you guys the charm so you can apply it to your potions!” Lucero said with a calm expression. “Can I take a look at you? I’m worried you could have been attacked by dark magic,” the Mexican witch said with a serious expression.

Victoire couldn’t help but gulp, however, in the end, she nodded.

“Yeah, go ahead, do as you please,” the blonde said as calmly as possible.

The idea of being hit by dark magic terrified her, she knew about the war and what Harry and everyone did and experienced, she knew about the dark magic attack her aunt Hermione suffered back in her fifth year at Hogwarts, and she knew that even to this day Hermione still had the scar.

Right now Hermione couldn’t help but think about that awful experience and she couldn’t stop herself from touching that part of her body over her blouse, she tried to be strong because of her niece but she was human too, she tried to comfort herself knowing that the scum who gave her that scar was long dead.

“I guess I should—” Harry tried to move but he was stopped by a stern-looking Lucero.

“No, that’s fine, you’re in a good position Harry,” Lucero said as she made her staff appear.

Contrary to the one Lola has, her staff is made of metal, the staff seems to have a star made of obsidian at the top, or at least Harry felt like the black star was made of obsidian.

Surprisingly, Lucero started to move her staff around Victoire and she was doing it in a language that the translation spell couldn’t translate, it seemed like she was chanting in a lost language and soon, a spell came out of the staff, and lighted Victoire’s body, the color was so white and pure which made the Mexican witch not to stop the chant, in fact, she did it even faster but then, the light disappeared and Lucero seemed quite satisfied.

“The test was negative, there’s no sign of dark magic on your body,” Lucero smiled at the blonde witch.

Everyone was relieved to hear that especially Hermione, she truly knew how awful it was the treatment for dark magic attacks and this wasn’t the right place to get the correct treatment.

“Now…I’m curious about that language Lucero, the translation spell has all the languages that humans speak today, but the chants you were singing weren’t translated, that’s interesting,” Hermione said with an awed expression.

“Ah, that’s because it was ancient Mayan, there are Mayan speakers to this day, however, this one is the early form of the language from the days magic was given by the gods to only a few chosen people according to the legends,” Lucero said as she got back to her feet.

“Fascinating!” Hermione was completely immersed as she tried to retain as much knowledge as possible, she was learning a lot.

She felt a little guilty for being so immersed in this when they were supposed to be looking for Bill, and she knew she was sounding like a bad leader, but it's been so long since she's had a day like this, this is one of the days where she could spend the whole day learning and not be trapped in an office or in meetings with people that don’t like her.

“How do you feel, Vicky?” Now her uncle Charlie was concerned about her.

He interrupted her train of thoughts as she couldn’t stop looking at Harry who was smiling brightly at her as he held her in his arms.

“Are you ready to get on your feet, Vicky?” Asked Harry with a warm expression.

Victoire couldn’t help but gulp, she was in this position with Harry, it was as if she were in her dreams, just the two of them lost in each other’s eyes, however, she suddenly remembered they weren’t alone and she also remembered she wanted to be seen by him and the others as a strong witch, so, she tried to regain her composure before she spoke once again.

“Yes, I think I’m ready,” Victoire mumbled, and soon, Harry helped her to get on her feet.

She was surprised by how easily he managed to get her back on her feet but she knew she shouldn’t, after all, he didn't have those muscles just to show off and she couldn’t help but hold his hand for as long as she could.

“So…Shall we get to the next level?” Asked Charlie a little worried about what was going to happen next.

It seems like the master of this level heard the redhead’s words because soon, the voice was heard once again.

“Travelers, you have succeeded in this level but don’t get overconfident, because in this place even the smallest thing can cause great damage…Now, it’s time for you to pick up the door that will decide the next level,” the voice finished and soon, three doors appeared.

They were made of gold and all of them had different symbols, the first one had an arrow, the second one had an ocean wave, and the last one had some kind of cube.

“Okay…As far as I know, the first one means that there’s going to be another battle at the next level, the second one is something related to the sea and that worries me, it could either be a swimming challenge or a fight against sea beasts…As for the last one, that cube means mystery, so, either it could be a random challenge or a challenge full of secrets, a place I’m sure a curse breaker would love but I'm not too sure that,” Lucero explained to the travelers who were impressed by her knowledge.

Now it was time to decide which door to enter.
