They also choose odd topics to talk about in the episodes. Or are sometimes lacking in artistic comprehension. it leads to subtext going down river and literal interpretation the only thing left. It’s not just this show, and it doesn’t happen all the time, but yeah. At the end of the day, it’s a business and there’s endless more media to consume, so I understand why they might not be as invested as you were. 🤷🏻

2025-02-26 10:31:07 +0000 UTCI don't expect them to have the same reaction, I just want reactors to pay attention to the thing they're supposed to be reacting to because it is frustrating when they are confused later due to talking over conversations that already have been explained what they're confused about. It then becomes more confusing when the show keeps moving forward and building on the facts that they missed. It can indeed be a confusing show which I would say demands a bit more attention than many other shows. If they were paying attention and still didn't care for it, that'd be disappointing also because I thought they'd get into, but it's still understandable. It's like getting someone a gift thinking they'd really enjoy, but they don't. It's disappointing. This has a added layer of sadness because they didn't pay attention so much in show that demands a little more attention, they are judging a different show all together. That's why I said that this was the biggest gulf between what I was hoping for and what I got. If you have a favorite show and wanted them to react to (and not just a show that you half paid attention to when you watched), I'd think it'd disappoint you also. That's all I'm saying. You also said you still understood it by half-watching and that's the difference, they are not understanding which makes them frustrated and pay attention even less.

2025-02-24 19:32:57 +0000 UTCMr. Robot reactions is probably the biggest gulf between what I was hoping for and what I got with Blind Wave. I really thought they'd get into it, but they seem to not be interested and talk through at least half of the episode (not even about the show, but minute details that remind them of something in their lives) and then wonder why they're confused and they get frustrated. This makes me disappointed and sad.
