Daphne couldn’t wait any longer, she was running as fast as she could, she was running as if her life depended on it, she was getting late but there was something she needed to take care of before going to a certain place. She didn’t even care that she was alone and no guard was keeping her safe anymore, she didn’t even care that this was the first time in a long time she was walking alone through the streets of Diagon Alley, the only thing on her mind was a certain place where a special person would be and she didn't want to miss it for anything in the world.

She needed to arrive at that place before it was too late, she didn’t even care about the pedestrians she was stumbling with nor about the newspapers with the headline about Narcissa’s life sentence in Azkaban alongside her subordinates who used to be Daphne’s friends, no, there was something else that invaded her mind.

“Ah…Finally, I think…I…I think I made it,” she said as she arrived at a recently opened library.

There was a huge crowd of people who were having a hard time controlling themselves, after all, someone important was giving a speech as they presented their new book, this person was a new author but that didn’t change the fact that there was a huge interest in this person.

There were older people, average adults, young adults, teenagers, and kids, there was a mix of everything and they were enchanted by the words of the author who was speaking.

“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the title of my first book, the book in which I tell the real story of my life, as there have been a lot of exaggerations and some misconceptions about my life, this is the first of a series of books that I hope all you enjoy and maybe inspire you to never give up despite the difficulties, thank you so much for coming!” Harry Potter said with a smirk before he bowed after the public who suddenly started to clap at him.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a pair of black Converse shoes, he was dressed in a very muggle way but he didn’t care, today was a special day, not only because of the premiere of his first book but also because of a certain person who finally managed to catch his attention.

Daphne couldn’t help but blush the moment Harry finally noticed her and sent her a smile, one of his charming smiles that melted her in the instant. Harry suddenly spoke with someone from the staff before he took the stand once again.

“Hey Daphne, it seems like you made it,” she suddenly heard a voice, it was Hermione but she wasn’t alone.

“Oh…Hi Hermione, Hi Andy, Hi Teddy,” she said with a warm tone at the newlywed couple with their ‘grandson’.

They were about to speak but they were suddenly interrupted by Harry.

“Okay everyone, amongst the thousands of copies of the book that are in this store, there’s the possibility of getting a ticket that you can use to speak with me, this is also a fan sign so there's no doubt I'll be signing autographs today, so, good luck!” Harry said before he moved and went backstage.

Suddenly a blonde woman with funny glasses and a weird outfit approached her, it was Luna Lovegood who suddenly greeted Hermione, Andy, and Teddy.

“Miss…Daphne...Harry Potter has requested you to meet him in the backstage, he told me you two know each other, right?” Asked the shorter blonde with a curious tone.

“Yes, we more than know each other, I’ll follow you,” the blonde couldn’t contain herself any longer and she was encouraged by the couple to meet Harry, she wanted to see Harry but she had been busy since the morning as she had to take care of something important.

The time it took her to get backstage felt eternal but soon, the curtains were opened and there he was, eating a chocolate candy bar with a smirk on his face, it was Harry. They just smiled at each other and the moment Luna left alone they couldn’t contain themselves any longer, they jumped at each other and hugged as if their lives depended on it, they were afraid to let the other go and the blonde felt the need to sob as she did this.

“It’s okay Daphne…It’s over my dear, it’s done, you’re finally free,” Harry tried to comfort her.

Yes, this was the day Daphne was officially declared a free person and she knew that Harry decided to do the premiere of his book on this day because of that, he wanted to welcome her back to the world with something good, he wanted her to see him as a successful author so she wouldn’t worry about his future and so she could see that he’s serious with what he’s doing with his life and that includes her.

“I’m sorry for ruining this day but…I couldn’t get here sooner,” she tried to apologize but Harry quickly stopped her.

Harry instead of saying something, decided to take her chin and stare directly into her eyes, she was surprised but enchanted as she looked at his beautiful green eyes too, and soon, she forgot about her worries the moment he decided to kiss her.

Her eyes widened but that didn’t stop her from kissing him back, and soon, they were lost in the moment, they didn’t care too much about the world or the problems that may be out of there, the only thing they cared about was feeling each other’s lips, nothing else seemed to be in their minds until someone called for Harry.

“Uh, it’s time Harry,” it was the weird blonde woman, she seemed to be the owner of the library.

“Look, if you want to see your family, you’re free to do so, but I’d like to speak with you as soon as I can after this, okay?” He told her before he pecked her lips and left to get back to work, he had to meet lots of fans and sign autographs today.

Daphne decided to reunite with Andromeda and Hermione but she was surprised to see Ron too, it was interesting to see that there were no grudges between Hermione and Ron despite their past relationship, Daphne admired them for being mature, however, due to them not being obsessed fans of Harry, they decided to let him work and get something to eat as he was completely focused on the fan meeting.

A few hours later…

Daphne said goodbye to Andromeda, Hermione, and Ron, and she was now waiting for Harry who had sent her a message through his Patronus.

“Daphne!” She suddenly heard and soon, she was smiling, it was him.

“Hey Harry…You told me there was something important you wanted to talk about, right?” She asked with a curious smirk and he nodded without thinking twice.

Soon he took her hand and took her to another place that turned out to be the place where she had been secluded but it was different now because this house now had the garden of her dreams.

“I still can’t grasp how beautiful this garden is and it's all because of you,” she said while she admired the place. “So, what did you want to talk—” she couldn’t finish her phrase because when she looked back at him, she was surprised to find him on his knees.

“Daphne…Ever since I met you my life has completely changed for the better way, I cannot imagine spending the rest of my life with a person different than you…Would you do the honor of marrying me?” He asked with the most serious tone in the world, he was clearly not joking.

Daphne was completely shocked but even if she was trembling, she couldn’t stop herself from grabbing the ring.

“A diamond inside an emerald? Who told you emeralds were my favorite gem?” She asked with a shocked tone.

“Your sister was the one who told me actually,” he said before giggling.

That was a shocking revelation because Astoria supposedly hated him and she still does to an extent, however, Narcissa’s trial revealed the context of the true crimes Draco Malfoy was involved with, it was a truth that had been hidden due to the respect the ministry had for that family but that was over now, they didn’t need them anymore.

Now that she knew the truth, Astoria was more understanding and she started to see that her husband was mostly responsible for his own death, it still hurt her though.

“So, that means…” She said in a low tone. “It means that you have the approval of my life,” she wasn’t asking, she was confirming and soon, she ran towards the emerald-eyed man and hugged him. “Yes, I want to marry you, Harry!” She said with a happy tone.

And those words are the ones that made Harry the happiest man in the world and this decision is the one that will make him the happiest man for the rest of his life, as they will have a big family, three girls, and three boys, Harry will become the best selling author not only in the country but in the world, he'll even make a deal to sell his books in the muggle world under a pseudonym.

As for Daphne, she decided to start a gardening business using what Harry taught her and the business will be a success, however, that’s a story for another day, right now, after so many considerations, Daphne realized that between the pros and cons of home arrest, she has gotten nothing but the pros.
