“With this, we conclude the first session of the case 'Matthews versus Richards' I'd like to thank the jury the jury and the two parts soon will be notified about the next session, so, until then I advise you to avoid each other,” the judge, an older woman said with a surprisingly calm tone, then she joined the jury that consisted of only white older women between the ages of forty and fifty.

This was no coincidence, it seemed like the system wanted this man to win, after all, he represented the values of a certain political party that was in charge of the state, and he for sure knew that they planned to help him by just citing women that usually find Corey Matthews attractive, women like the ones in the jury are the ones who could probably find the older man attractive.

However, this was going to backfire on them as Andy hadn’t stopped using his powers during the trial to influence the judge and the jury, he was ready for the next battle and he already felt like the winner.

“Come on Andy, let’s go,” Roxy told him and he nodded.

Of course, as was expected, when he came out of the courtroom a lot of journalists were waiting for him, he was happy because this was going to help him for the day when he became famous, this was a good way to practice for the day he'll have to attend the press when he becomes the most famous musician in the world.

“Andy…Andy, here, I’m Lucy from the New gossiper, is it true that you tried to date Stacy Matthews?” Asked the older reporter and Andy couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Not at all Lucy, our encounter was merely a coincide because I lived there, and I knew her because of the content she does with her father on her channel and seeing how she has made some music I couldn’t help but ask her to make music with me, regardless of what they’re doing I can’t deny that she has a good voice,” the young man answered without hesitating.

“Andy please here, I’m Will from the political punisher, is it true that you dated the mayor of the city?” Asked a man with dark skin.

“Not at all Will, those are just baseless rumors, she’s a woman with a very important job and I’m just a common man who managed to become friends with her as we bonded over art, that’s it,” Andy half-lied, technically they were just friends with benefits so, yes, he was being a little honest there.

“Andy, my name is Kira from the Underground Post and I just want to congratulate you on your new music release I loved the piano and the complex melodies you used, is it true that your music is inspired by Japanese music?” Asked an Asian woman with blue short hair and he couldn’t help but find her cute.

“Yes Kira…My music is based on Asian rhythm videogames music but mostly Japanese, that’s true, I can’t deny that I love the complexity of their sounds and that’s what inspired me to make music on my own,” Andy answered happily this time.

It was refreshing being asked about his music.

“Andy here, I’m Randy from News Express…Is it true that you have a bad relationship with your parents?” Asked an older man with a mocking tone.

“I don’t see how that’s relevant to the case,” Andy said with a calm tone.

He didn’t like to talk about his parents, even if they didn’t have the best relationship, the last thing he wanted was to involve other people in his business, he wasn't a kid anymore, he knew how to take care of his problems by himself.

“Oh, it seems like you haven’t seen the video then…” The older journalist pulled out his phone and a video started to play.

His eyes widened the moment he saw his mother, a brown-haired woman, and a man with short dark hair being completely harassed by some journalists, they were asking them why they raised such a bad son and how they could be walking around without any care in the care and many other nasty things.

“Look…I don’t know what’s going on here, we haven’t seen Andy in a long time, so, please, leave us alone, we tried our best but he has always been a bad son, so please, don’t put the blame on us for what he did, he’s a man and he’s responsible for his own actions…Goodbye!” The older woman said as she slammed the door in front of the journalists.

When the video stopped playing, Andy couldn’t help but feel a rage burn inside him, however, he decided to remain calm.

“I never met their expectations, so, I guess they’re right and I won’t say anything else, thank you, everyone,” Andy said in a calm tone, the journalists wanted to ask more things but soon, the police stopped them and helped Andy and Roxy to get their taxi to get on the way back to the older woman’s place.

“Are you okay?” Asked the older woman as she placed a hand on his leg.

“Yes, it’s just that, I hated not telling everyone the truth about my parents, I’m still bitter that they got away with everything they did to me as I grew up,” Andy said with a bitter tone.

“Well, I don’t know what they did to you but you need to focus, a battle at a time, right now your enemies are the Matthews, not your family,” the woman said with a comforting tone.

Andy was about to argue but then, he saw the warm expression on her face and he softened a bit, he nodded at her and they decided to let the silence reign in the taxi until they arrived back at Roxy’s place.

“Is there something troubling you?” Asked Roxy as she looked at Andy.

The young man was standing close to a window and he was staring at the outside with a lost expression, Andy quickly regained his senses and looked back at the older woman who was smiling at him.

“It’s my parents Roxy…I’m worried about what they could do or say, after all, they are grifters by nature,” the younger man couldn’t help but say as he sighed.

“What do you mean?” Asked the older lawyer with a curious tone.

“Well, my parents believe in profits above anything else even above ethics, and trust me, they’re willing to do almost anything for money, that sounds lovely considering they’re parents, right? They’re willing to make sacrifices for their son, well, that’s a complete lie, they do it for themselves and nothing else because even though they were earning pretty good money they were very cheap,” Andy explained to the older woman.

“Well, if you experienced that when you were growing up the only thing I can say is that those are some shitty parents but now that you are an adult, at least you can take care of your needs, right?” She asked with a raised brow.

“I’ll be honest with you Roxy, what happened in that video was all fake, them being concerned about being harassed by the media is pure bullshit, I’m sure they were angry because they couldn’t promote their business,” Andy massaged his temple.

Roxy was a little worried, so, she decided to hug him from behind.

“Did something worse happen between you and them?” She was concerned because what he was saying didn’t make any sense.

Even if parents are rough with their children, they still love them and are on their side, or at least that’s what Roxy thought because she suddenly saw Andy’s phone, he was on Instagram and he was looking at a publication.

“To clarify some things, my husband and I are going to appear in the show 'Gossiping Save America', so please, stay tuned!” Emily Richards.

Anna couldn’t believe it, after seeing that name and the profile picture she realized that was Andy’s mother, it seemed like his parents were willing to use his current situation to benefit herself, now she knew why Andy harbored those feelings towards them.
