In a dark room with very few lights located in a very far away place, there were two men, one of them was overweight while the other had an average weight and height, still, the two of them looked serious about whatever thing they were doing, they had tough and serious expressions, however, suddenly their eyes moved the moment they saw someone else entering into the room.

“You’re late Jacob,” the fat man said to a very tall handsome one.

“I’m sure he’s been busy with that woman…Monica Williams, right?” Asked another man who looked to be a few years older than Jacob.

“Yes Uncle Arthur, I’ve been doing lots of work for her,” Jacob said before sighing as he sat next to his uncle, sitting in front of the famous ‘Big Dog’ was a very big deal, the infamous man didn’t look amused by Jacob's lateness but he was happy to see the young man for some reason.

“Yes, all the people in our organization saw that photoshoot, no one expected to see you doing something like that, it fits you though,” the fat man said with a funny expression on his face. “So, tell me…Are you fucking her?” Asked the boss without any hint of shame.

He was a complete pervert but he needed to know this for the thing he was planning to do with the woman.

“Oh come on Big Dog…” Arthur rolled his eyes at his friend's antics.

“Well, it doesn’t matter, it’s time to put the plan into action,” Big Dog didn’t care about his partner’s opinion, money was money.

“Yeah about that…I came here to tell you that I’m quitting…I don’t know what you two are planning to do and you didn’t reveal to me the plans for the upcoming heist, so, I realized that maybe I’m not made for this, now I’m more interested in being a model,” Jacob couldn’t help but say with a happy smile on his face.

It seems like he forgot he was dealing with some dangerous people here, of course, his uncle would never do something to him but getting Big Dog mad is not a good idea, and speaking about Big Dog, he just laughed like crazy after hearing those words.

“That’s a good joke Jacob, very nice, but hear me out…Half a million dollars,” Big Dog said with a greedy smirk on his face.

“What’s that for?” Asked Jacob not understanding very well what was happening here.

“You know Big Dog…I think if Jacob doesn’t want to participate in this, we should better leave him out of this,” Jacob’s uncle Arthur said surprising his long-time friend Big Dog.

“Arthur, what are you talking about?” The fat man said with a confused expression but then, his long-time friend whispered something in his ear. “You know what? Your uncle’s right, well, if that’s what you want then, there’s nothing we can do about it, good luck I guess,” Big Dog extended his hand and Jacob happily gave him a handshake.

“Thank you, man, I knew you’d understand, see you at the usual place at the usual hour tomorrow, right Uncle Arthur?” Asked Jacob and his uncle nodded with a calm expression, they reunite every Sunday in their hometown’s bar.

“Of course, I’ll be there, oh and bring your girl with you, I want to meet her,” his uncle said with a soft smile on his face, his nephew suddenly hugged him and parted ways.

Once they were alone, Big Dog took out a bottle of tequila and served a glass for him and his long-time friend.

“You know what Arthur? I’m glad you’re here, thank you for making me realize that the plan can continue without him and his incompetence, and the best thing that comes out of this decision is that we don’t have to give him a dime…Cheers!” They clashed their glasses in celebration.

Whatever thing they were planning to do with Monica, it was going to be done with or without Jacob’s help, so, they decided to get as drunk as they could, they were planning to act tomorrow before she met Jacob in that bar.

The night finally came and it had been a day since Jacob had that meeting with Big Dog his uncle, that’s why he was now waiting for him in their hometown’s bar, yes, they were raised in a poor area but this part of the town was safer.

“Uncle Arthur, here!” Jacob said to his uncle who was getting inside and he seemed a little tired.

“Uncle…What’s going on?” The taller man asked and his uncle signalized a table where no one was sitting,, the table was so far away in the corner, completely isolated from everyone and everything, once they sat his uncle decided to be honest.

“It’s been a rough day and I'm tired Jake so I'm just going to tell you this…Big Dog is dead,” his uncle confessed and Jacob’s eyes widened.

“What? But yesterday I was…I swear I didn’t do it!” Jacob was starting to get worried.

“Relax, I know you didn’t…After you left us we got completely wasted until we ended up losing consciousness, or that’s what I thought because today in the morning, I was woken up by police officers, telling me that Big Dog apparently fell on his pool while he was completely drunk, it seems like he drowned, after I woke up I was told he had been dead for hours,” His uncle’s words made Jacob feel shocked.

Jacob didn’t know how to feel about Big Dog’s death, after all, the man always acted like an asshole towards him.

“Trust me, I'm as shocked as you…I’ve been declaring on the station the whole day, they finally let me go a few hours ago which gave me enough time to get washed before coming here, even if I’m tired as fuck I still wanted to meet your chick,” Arthur said with a playful tone and his nephew blushed.

“She’s an amazing woman uncle, you’re going to love her, though I still wonder what Big Dog was planning to do with her,” Jacob was worried he would be forced to do something to Monica.

“Killing her…It seems like she made lots of enemies in the fashion industry, someone paid half a million dollars to kill her, that’s how much that person hated her, but don’t worry, the police found the money and they’re already investigating that person, conspiracy to kill is not a good crime,” Arthur smiled at his nephew. “I know, I’m still as shocked as you, but I’m glad that everything will turn out the best for you, and look who’s there!” His uncle said after he saw a beautiful woman with dark skin entering the place with elegancy while getting all the stares due to her tight blue jeans, her tight white blouse, and black high heels.

“Oh, sorry I’m late it’s just that I had to deal with some annoying people, I got a call from the police, apparently someone wanted to kill me and now the police wanted me to give them information about the possible suspect,” Monica said before sighing.

“Wait...Aren't you scared?” Asked Jacob before kissing one of her cheeks.

“It’s not the first time something like this has happened to me, you need to get used to situations like this in this industry, most people (including me) have fragile egos,” the beautiful black woman said before sharing a handshake with Jacob’s uncle. “Oh, you must be…” Monica couldn’t finish.

“Arthur Schneider at your orders my lady, I’m Jacob’s uncle, best friend, and his manager!” Arthur said with his usual charming personality.

“Oh, is that so? Well, I wasn’t informed about that but I’m glad you’re saving me the task of getting him one,” she giggled. “I’m Monica Williams, a fashion expert and Jacob’s girlfriend,” and with those words, their lives changed forever.

Jacob became popular at a very scary pace, and he was getting more and more jobs for modeling, he participated in many campaigns he was studying to become an actor, and he was getting all the support of his uncle, and his girlfriend to reach his goals.

Arthur was still paranoid about all the crimes he committed but surprisingly, the police never realized all the bad things he did even if they investigated Big Dog's background, Arthur was happy because he didn't have to pretend anymore, he was happy Big Dog was dead, he saw his nephew’s modeling career as a better investment than a bank heist, his death was a very lucky accident for Arthur.

As for Monica, she continues leading the fashion industry to places that are fresh and interesting at the same time, but life has become better for them because just a year after meeting Jacob, they got married and now they are waiting for their first child.

The news about their relationship shocked the fashion world due to their age difference and the fact that she gave him a career, however, everything was overshadowed by the fact that Monica’s life was in danger because the last model that was under her wing before Jacob, the one Jacob replaced, turns out he was the one responsible of hiring Big Dog to kill her, luckily, she found herself a not so smooth criminal, and her life has been amazing since then.
