She's an extremely hateable character who's actress is great in the role. Her character represents some of the worst aspects of Roman aristocracy at the time.

2023-10-26 15:37:20 +0000 UTCJust commenting to say I do think you guys are misinterpreting Mark and Atia’s relationship. You guys keep assuming he doesn’t love her but he does, he admitted it in the first season. He was against marriage because I believe he didn’t want their relationship to change, he loved where they were now and being married would change everything. But he does care about her. Same with Octavia and Octavian, neither one of them hate their mother, in fact the only person in the show that actively hates Atia was Servillia. Everyone else admits she’s horrible and that sometimes they hate the things she does but at the end of the day they still love her. Octavia got over her anger at her mother toward the end of the first season but you all kept assuming she still hated her but she doesn’t. Same with Octavian he stopped being mad at his mom the second she came to apologize in this season. No one hates Atia on the show, just some audience members like you guys, lol. I personally loved her, she made the show so much more interesting for me.
