Hawkeye 1x6 - Poll!

Do you think The Big Guy is dead?

Raw Rider Patrons can watch the Full Length Reaction HERE: https://blindwavellc.com/hawkeye-1x06-full/

Comments

This might be the most one-sided poll result I have ever seen.

Paul Gregory

Be more fun if he were alive, but Feige does seem to like to surprise people every now and then. I'd be happy if he were alive, but would also be pleasantly surprised if they took the shot (pun intended) and killed him off. D'Onofrio may not have wanted to commit to more Marvel stuff so there's always that chance that he pulled a Harrison Ford.

Coeus

I laugh at people who think he’s dead like it’s so obvious he’s not, and getting angry at the mcu for thinking he’s dead is ludacris, no one ever heard of a twist before ?

Aaronb69

Let me put it this way If he is alive, thank god If he is dead, the MCU is about to wish they were instead

Joshua gomer

He is as dead as my interest in the MCU so if Disney wants my money he better be alive

Prince of Za Waurdo Over Salmon

It seems that this is the same Wilson Fisk from the Netflix universe, except for the fact that he has been powered up to become closer to his comic book self. He took an arrow to the sternum, and got hit by a car and seemed completely fine immediately afterwards. Seeing as we did not see him get shot, and the fact that Feige would not be naive enough to build up all this hype for D'Onofrio only to kill him 1 week after his reintroduction, leads me to believe that there is absolutely no way that he is dead.

Griffin Modzelewski

No way. They're just getting him out of the way for Echo's series. He'll be back

Jeanette C

Yea no it isn’t going down like that come on. He’s still alive.

Adam Ilioff

It's Vincent D'onofrio. Go figure :D

All the epic fights he has had and they take him out like that, nah mate.

Ben Whan

There would be a Marvel fan mutiny if he was dead. You don't bring back that character with that actor and do him in off screen. He'll be back!

Reddevilman77

Kingpin is absolutely showing up in that Echo D+ show, I'd expect them to be following the DD plotline where Lopez blinds him. If the MCU version shows him getting hit by a car and thrown through a window before being in close proximity of all of the trick arrows and also shaking off an arrow launched by Kate - he's going to be able to tank a bullet. There could be the possibility that Lopez aimed the gun away from him before firing the shot, adding further suspicion to the off-screen shot.

techagek

I don’t want Maya to die but Kingpin is just soooo good of a bad guy.

Bunny Norris

I immediately knew this would be the poll after I finished the episode lol. There's no way in hell they just killed him off like that

Kevin

An offscreen kill normally? Probably not. An offscreen kill of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin? Hell no.

Angel Groves

he is alive if he is dead that is the biggest slap in the face to fans

spencer

I mean...come'on. We all know the answer

GoodAsGo1d

He’ll be back with a badass eyepatch that’s why he said eye to eye

If you don't see a body, the character is alive. That's TV law.

Kyle S

How is it spoilers? Unless you press "continue reading", you don't know who they're talking about. They could be talking about Clint, Kazi, Jack, etc.

Dayvon Rose

this is like :/ spoilers for me, I haven't seen the episode yet. it came out literally last night at 2 am

Sam Tahiri

If they brought him in right at the end, JUST to kill him off immediately I'll be upset.

Kevin Bartelen

Rule 1 of comic books if there's no body expect them to have lived.

Reece Hart

They didn't show a body, no way he's dead

Mack Place

If he's dead, I'm dead, forever and all time I'd be dead

C-Dubble

Disney becomes the biggest trolls and kills him offscreen.

Joel

I mean if he really died, then it takes my first place of the biggest mcu disappoint in front of Taskmaster and Ralph Bohner. But echo gets her own series, so maybe he spares him, maybe it goes like one specific with Fisk or maybe it's like Jessica Jones S1, where Jessica thought she killed Kilgrave, but he comes back (even though the motives are very different)

Dominik Gerdessen

They wouldn’t kill the Kingpin off screen

Matthew Cronin

The fact we don't see a body and that it was such a big thing in the series that he was finally in it suggest to me he isn't. However, I have to assume the Echo show is going to use that moment otherwise it's a really strange narrative choice if he isn't dead.

Adam Burt

I mean they cut away from it just before we heard the shot. And they wouldn't bring Kingpin into the MCU just to kill him off. I mean, come on.

moonleaf tea

He has to be alive, that was too small of an ending for the Big Guy.

He’s super human in this universe so they have all the wiggle room they need.

Cal

The same exact scene happened in the comics, where Echo shoots him point blank in the face (the "screen" cutting away), but it's later revealed she shot his eye out, as one of the last thing Fisk says is, "We see eye to eye"

John Crane

There is no way he's dead. Vincent D'nofrio as Kingpin is too good of a villain to be dead way too early! He's definitely returning to Maya's spin off series. Atleast I hope he will :(

Siti Dee

He is shot off screen, that's for me a way of showing; he isn't dead if the story calls for it

Flashback007

Rule number 1 with movies and TV shows, if a "death" occurs off screen it didn't actually happen

We didn’t see a body. He’s definitely alive.

Absolutely no chance they kill off someone like that that quick they still have some unfinished business that needs to be taken care of

Christian Bolda

I believe he is absolutely.. LIVING! You think they'd kill off a major character like that, after they literally just introduced him? Hell no! After all, he is Kingpin. No way he's dead. At least, I hope not.

MarkIsDaBoss

He is alive and the new Wilson Fisk is Mephisto!

Chase Gardner

They didn't show a body, he's alive, no way they'll kill such a big character either.

Doco56

We don't even know if the bullet hit it's mark and also Maya shooting Kingpin is a big thing in the comics

aSackOfReactions

He’s alive

Dairy products

Name one instance of a character about to be killed, only for it to cut away and a gunshot be heard. He’s not dead.

Sara-Jayne

He got shot in the face at point blank range but Marvel physics are all over the place so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I love Vinny D so I hope he’s alive.

No way in hell would they bring D'Oforio back for one episode of something lol

SpeedyCat19

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch another marvel show if they kill Kingpin off after ONE EPISODE

Anirudh Shah

He alive. I ain't seen a body

Jassan Brown

Hell naw. She only pissed him off with that head shot.

Carlos

Not for one second do I believe he’s gone.

Big Mike

No way is he dead

Dip602

My guess is that he’s alive. And he’s gonna be the Big Bad in Echo.

Jordan Malloy

No way he’s dead, this is exactly like it was in the comics. Maya shoots him for killing her father, and he ends up blind

Absolutely alive. That scene was near exact to Maya’s origin in the comics and perfectly sets up her spinoff. Considering the other big reveal recently, there’s no way Feige brought Vincent D’Onofrio just to quickly kill him off screen.
