The Expanse 6x1 - Poll!

I think in true TV fashion, in a moment of need, someone’s gonna take over the helm. Alex’s job is big shoes to fill but it’s not a burden I think the rest of the original crew can shoulder as they are now.

The Roci joined the fight three months ago, I'm sure this isn't the first fire-fight they've been in, Holden seems to be doing just fine. And maybe once Holden and Naomi have warmed up to Clarissa a bit more, she can give it a go. Naomi is definitely projecting her pain onto Clarissa but I feel like you guys forgot that when Clarissa broke into the Roci in the Slow Zone during S3, she does attack Naomi. After it happens the show doesn't focus on it much because they had so much going on but Clarissa would have killed Naomi if Anna wasn't a badass high on adrenaline and went after her. She definitely isn't angry at Peaches for the right reason but she does have a little one.

I voted to stick with the current crew, but I’m wondering if we’re finally reaching a breaking point with Filip where he could defect. He seems like he may have reached rock bottom after killing his friend, and maybe his character is ready to grow. If so, I imagine he would join the crew.

It’s hard to warm up to a new character at this point unless it’s someone we’ve seen in the older seasons. That being said, I agree that it should either be Drummer or Bobbie.

just so you don't get the wrong impression. when naomi said to amos "you should find somewhere else to be" she meant in that moment (like get off my sight) not leave the ship!! please don't think that,

I don't think they should add anyone who is not familiar with the crew already so maybe it's best if they share the responsibility

Alex got them out of many sticky situations because he was an experienced pilot. If they are going to be out there on risky missions, they need a seasoned pilot.

Haven't read the books, and they do tend to go against convention on the show but sometimes they lean into it. I'm putting my money on "leaning into it" and Peaches having to take over in an emergency and doing a badass job - mostly because I want her to be accepted by Holden and Naomi and that'd help I think.

Bobbie and Drummer aren't pilots. Peaches is. Should be an easy decision.

I don't see them introducing a new pilot with only 5 episodes left. Hopefully Bobby or Dummer join the crew!

I can see either Bobbie or Peaches being the new pilot

Maybe not someone entirely new but an already established character. I was so excited for Bull to be apart of the crew but it would be nice if Bobby gets sent to help the Roci. Especially since Chrisjen mentioned she looks bored in her new position.

I’m guessing Peaches will take on that responsibility eventually. I count her as the current crew even though two of the crew don’t.

With there only being 5 episodes left and with the Roci crew already currently in space in the middle of a mission I don't see how they could introduce a new pilot. My guess is either Holden continues being the pilot along with being captain, or Clarissa takes over as pilot if she earns the trust of Holden and Naomi.

I think in universe the crew would be better off with a new experienced pilot. I don't know if it would be a good idea for the show to bring someone new on at this point. The season is short so devoting time to establishing someone new would take time away from the many characters we already love (or love to hate). Bobby is a marine not a pilot like she told Aveserala in the razorback so I don't know if she would be a good fit. Drummer might work though she is more of a captain than a pilot. With that said I love the character interactions on this show so I want them all on the roci working together.

i think at this point with just 5 episodes left, one of the crew is ok for me, as long as the job is done!

I actually liked José Zúñiga as Bull for pilot, that would have worked. Dunno though, feel like the writers/producers scared of introducing somebody new and moving on, no need to hang a lantern on it like they have been.

I think we're too defensive on the loss of Alex, not wanting to see a new crew member that hasn't been introducded. I would count bull as an existing mate from last season, but I feel the boy may be dead ;/

At this point, current crew is fine. Unless, Bull decides to come back! I really liked him and his no nonsense attitude.

Not enough time to get acquainted with a new pilot so has to be either someone from the crew (Bobbie included) or they all switch between the role.

Do you guys know about the bonus scenes that are available through Amazon X-Ray? The first one is 6 minutes long and definitely worth watching! There will be one after every episode.

Should be Bull. He was the pilot for most of season 5 anyway. Its a damn shame the actor for Alex was a horrible person and they had to kill the character off
