Will the events of the flux (and more importantly Russia) be addressed?

I would like to think so, but knowing this eras habits of poor writing I will expect nothing and pleasantly surprised if so!

2021-12-08 22:22:52 +0000 UTCUnfortunately I believe like the Raston Warrior robot the outcome of the flux will never be seen or referenced. No matter how much Eric wants the arm flailing dick shooting assassin, or answers to the flux I think they are unfortunately lost to us

2021-12-08 11:28:51 +0000 UTCI think Russia is fine doctor change all that when the Sontarans were defeated the first time As for the rest of the universe if they ever wanna do different planets they can just say we've time traveled here before the flux

2021-12-08 10:08:39 +0000 UTCI would want for it to be addressed but I'm afraid it won't be. The specials are usually somewhat self-contained, so I would't hope for some kind of nice wrapping and closure, especially for Russia ;)

2021-12-08 09:28:33 +0000 UTCI'm thinking not. It seems unlikely they will deal with that based on the tone of the ending. Maybe since it was coming from outside the universe and breaking laws of the universe in the way the doctor understood them, somehow sucking it up into the passenger somehow undid all things it did or something. I dunno, knowing this show it will just be timey wimey and go on to the next adventure like nothing happened.

2021-12-08 04:12:18 +0000 UTCI’m assuming not. I enjoyed the start of Flux & loved ep 4 but the “resolution” was all over the place for me. It’s like Chibnall decided to make a more convoluted plot than Moffat. I assume the fobwatch will be in Jodie’s last episode, but I assume a lot from Flux will not be resolved.

2021-12-08 02:59:49 +0000 UTCI'm assuming that the specials will take place within "the ashes of the Flux" as you guys put it, sorta like a post-apocalyptic scenario with Daleks and other species trying to scavenge for dominance, with The Doctor having to foil their schemes and protect Earth (as one of the only untouched planets). In the Centenary episode, I could see a massive do-over occurring, probably involving multiple past Doctors, almost certainly Ruth/Fugitive Doctor, and the secrets of the Timeless Child as they work together to put the universe back together. Bonus points if the Centenary Special plot's "threat" is from Universe 2 colliding with Universe 1 thanks to Division (which is still out there), meaning Rose and the human David Tennant Doctor become involved.

2021-12-08 02:59:47 +0000 UTCI'm certain it will, the Doctor will fix everything. She'll also bring my father back. For sure.

2021-12-08 02:59:22 +0000 UTCNo nothing even gets resolved between episodes it jumped from point to point with no consistency
2021-12-08 01:28:18 +0000 UTCI feel like Chibnall thinks everything's resolved and won't address these issues, and once RTD comes back things will just be back to normal again anyway. Also the Centenary special is a celebration of the BBC's 100th anniversary by the way since I don't think you guys were aware of that in the review. After that episode, the next episode will be over a year after which will be the 60th anniversary.

2021-12-08 01:24:35 +0000 UTCLogically you would want to say yes, as it still feels like most of the universe is dead. But the way the episode ended made it feel like they wanted us to feel that the Flux had been nicely tied up.

2021-12-08 01:04:12 +0000 UTCWill they address how an Ood is basically left in charge of Division right now?

2021-12-08 00:42:11 +0000 UTCNope, and it’s unbelievable. An entire species goes extinct and the Doctor just says “Oh, sorry.” to the ONLY SURVIVING MEMBER of that species. Maybe it’s just me, but I would think that’d be something she could RELATE TO. Not to mention, they didn’t even comment on the millions of other species that all got wiped out, or even said how much of the UNIVERSE is left! The end just felt like “Yay, off to a new adventure!” while what they’d been saying makes it sound like Earth may be all that’s left! This arc started out fun, but…Jesus, this was…not good. Credit where due, though, the interrogation with the Grand Serpent where the Doctor was turning it all around on him…I’ve always enjoyed Jodi, but that’s one of the few times I’ve looked at her and said “There it is. THAT’S the Doctor!”

2021-12-08 00:08:01 +0000 UTCPlease this is Doctor Who, they wont even address that it's probably been a dozen times that the Daleks should be extinct.
