So, the Rasengan that Naruto is training to do was also mentioned in Jujutsu Kaisen by Yuji Itadori in episode 6… I remember watching that episode and thinking that the reference was missed by you guys because you weren’t quite there yet with Naruto… 😓 I wanted to see that reaction, especially after you guys were so excited about the smash bro’s reference.

Figured out a better explanation to the whole rem thing. She basically has an inferiority complex, because of how ram was treated as they were growing up. It's a deep character flaw of hers, which then ends up manifesting as her being too self-sacrificing. That's why she's so overly devoted to subaru, to her own detriment, even though he doesn't like her back the same way. This becomes a crucial plot point later and I'll do a reminder comment when you guys reach that part of the series. P.S. regarding this whole idea that we see the journey of subaru and technically others as well becoming better individuals, is definitely a big part of the show, just know that till now, including season , we only went over 4 arcs of the source material, where the first 3 arcs are much smaller than the following ones, at this moment the author is writing arc 7 and there are going to be in total 11 arcs. So yeah it's gonna be a long ride, especially for anime-onlies

btw guys narutostechnique is not the 2nd highest technique, they meant in categories, meaning its an A rank jutsu, the dub made it sound weird

This is always the one episode I both look forward to and dread when watching reactions. It's a fantastic episode once you understand it, but the abruptness of "I love Emilia" tends to throw most reactors for a loop and assume that this was the point of the episode. That, or they now hate Subaru for doing that to Rem.

Tbh, I understand you guys' opinion. This scene is kinda niche in regards to what kind of people it's targeting. Everything you guys said about it valid and basically true even. It's just hard to see some flaws, when the main character of the show suddenly says everything you thought about yourself, but never said aloud or formulated fully into words, and all this through great voice acting. But to go into detail about what you said about rem. She's odd let's just say that. In one scene which didn't end up in the anime, she was literally ready and happily eager to kill a bunch of hoodlums if subaru just said yes go for it. Regarding it being a male fantasy, true there are things like that and things like that will still pop up, at least it has improved when they adapted it to the anime, but rest assured this show isn't going in the direction of a harem anime or any such stuff. Rem just loves subaru and subaru appearances her for what she has done for him very much, but emilia is her number one. You'll see more about this with season 2, right from the start actually.
