There was so many parallels and foreshadowing that led to this episode that it's like a poem. 1. Netero's final words about humanity's infinite potential for malice. His face there looked like Gon when he was transforming. 2. Gon crushing Pitou's head because Kite told him to finish chimera ants by going for the head (when he used scissors) 3. Pitou's dead body moving because of the enhanced aura explained by Phinks back in York new. 4. Gon feeling relieved because his arm got cut the same as Kite when they met Pitou. 5. Gon saying "you can have my arm" as parallel to Pitou breaking his own arm to protect Komugi. what an episode man.

That and they're only two months old. They had so much room to grow and develop as people. Except Pouf. He can die.

This is one of those episodes where I cried, not for the MC but for Pitou. Many people really loved this episode because of Gon's transformation, but I just felt so sad seeing Pitou die after undergoing those changes. In the end, even when he was trying to kill Gon, there was no longer any malice in him, just desire to protect the King. This is something that people tend to miss or just ignore but I hope they would notice more.

Not the current King's level anyway. The King pre-bombing he might've been close too, but Pitou obviously doesn't know that happened.

What line is that? If it's the line about sinking his fangs into the King, that's actually more manga accurate then the sub version.

I watched full length and seeing the scene where Gon is making mash potatoes with Pitou’s head brought me to tears. One of the best anime episode of all time.
