Its possible Mando gets very hurt or looses a Hand Like Luke and grogu Gets angry and saves him when he should be drained of power. I can see Boba and Cara Carring Out Mando and They get the child

This show cannot survive with Grogu and Mando not together. Todays episode shows how people felt people keep saying where is grogu or its not a good show without Grogu and Grogu works best with Mando or other people. I know people want Mando To Loose but he has been loosing in fights all season long. I think it will look like they are going to loose and another surprise will happen to turn the tied and we get Grogu and pave way for the Next Villain. I Think Moff Gideon has gotten stale

I believe Mando will get Grogu back, but Gideon will have already gotten what he needed from Grogu. Which is what will be the big cliffhanger of season 2.

Star Wars is known for having the Middle Act be the one where the Heroes lose, I feel like His Heroes journey will be Season 1: "This is the Way, No Questions Asked." Season 2: "This is the Way, Loses Grogu, Questions are Asked". Season 3: Mando gives up the way, to save his kin.... This, is the Way!

I thought it was a missed opportunity to not have Boba sneak into the base and if someone asked him to unmask they would be confused thinking there were still Clones around lol

If Pershing hasn't drained him like a capri sun and tossed him in the compactor i'd still probably guess that they'll be separated. Gotta raise the stakes for season 3.

I expect the separation will come with the end of the third season.

In interviews Filoni has repeatedly referred to Season 2 as their Empire Strikes Back. So I'm expecting a dark ending and Din and Grogu separated. However, I still expect the rescue to be somewhat successful. So perhaps rescuing Grogu from the Empire only for a Jedi to take him away.

I think they’ll end up together and possibly finish the story of moff Gideon and move onto something new next season

Normally I am all for darker endings like Empire Strikes Back, but I'm too emotionally invested and 2020 has been dark enough. Give me a warm reunion and a happy ending, I think we ALL deserve something nice for getting here.

I think they'll be reunited at the end, but Mando will die protecting/saving Grogu, and he'll be holding baby Yoda, remove his helmet, and give him that little metal ball...how's that for an Empire ending Rick? I think that they'll be together but that it will be a hard-fought battle and that Gideon will get away with the help of the dark troopers.

Gideon does not seem like the type to go out with honor. If he can't have him neither can Din. I think it will go full dark and kill Grogu. The next season will be all about revenge. There is a reason why we don't hear of the child in the sequel trilogy...

I think they'll get help from Bo'Katan once she learns they're going after Moff Gideon. The attack will start well, but they'll get pinned down (likely by the Dark Troopers). They're rescued by a surprise appearance of the Jedi who answered Grogu's call, rally, and get Grogu back, but Moff Gideon escapes with the Darksaber. Between his past with Moff Gideon and learning the importance of the Darksaber in Mandalorian culture from Bo'Katan, Din makes plans to go with her and finish Gideon once and for all. Surprising everyone (possibly including himself), despite having gone through so much to get him back, Din decides to send Grogu away with the Jedi - possibly because something Grogu does during the rescue shows him that Grogu very much needs training that he can't give him. Grogu probably also shows he has a strong connection to the Jedi - making it seem like the right choice to Din. As the Jedi leaves with Grogu, it's clear he's confused/hurt and wants to stay with Din. In season 3 we'll see from both sides that this "noble sacrifice" was a mistake that affects them both.

I think, and hope, that they get close to saving Grogu but some twist happens at the end of the finale keeping them apart. Then they can go into next season with a more urgent quest. It's a little too cliche/obvious for them to get him back so fast. Either way though, this season has been amazing!

The lengths a parent will go for their child. If it means saving Grogu, you can see my face. The expression on his face the entire time his helmet is off is perfect. Amazing acting, as always.

I hope they will be together, but I find it perfectly believable that something super dramatic will happen and they won't be.

I'm with Rick. This is going to end dark/sad. I don't think Grogu will die or anything, but i think Grogu will get into the possession of Din for the last few minutes of the final episode but then be snatched up again by Gideon. Gideon is going to be so pissed, i am fearing what he may do. The Darksaber will be used in the final episode!!!!

I think Mando, Grogu, and Moff will happily skip away into Boba’s ship and live happy ever after together

Unpopular opinion: I’m kinda hoping that they are separated either through Gideon maybe even he Jedi taking Grogu away. Listen, I like Grogu but it is hard to develop a maturing father-son relationship with a forever-toddler.

I think it would be a more unexpected ending if they remained separated. That way, season 3 could be Mando and his crew along with the jedi Grogu was forcetiming searching for Grogu
