I don't think so... I think the Jemma crying scene was her remembering where he was because the implant was out, and she knew it was dangerous for her to remember. Also someone has to carry the comedic load now that Enoch isn't here to carry it for him in his absence.

My heart says he is still alive but my gut tells me he's dead. It's the only reason to have Jemma show that kind emotional reaction to remembering something. Perhaps he's stuck out of time with no way of getting back and Jemma will somehow end up with him there at the end of the season. Finally together but separated from everyone else.

I think he's alive. When enok said Fitz "was" my best friend I think it was only about the fact that he was dying and couldn't see his best friend anymore.

I think he is physically dead but not mentally. When Jemma said he was near Sybil, she could of been talking about his sub conscience. I think he is within the machine that Sybil was using to look at the timeline. That machine is now in the hands of Nathaniel.

I think Jemma had a baby. Of course she trusts Fitz to take care of their baby, but she's sad because she feels like a mother who abandoned her baby. And yes, it was the same actor for Enoch in the Season 4 Finale. The Asian guy in the previous episode and Street Fighter was also Yao Fei on ARROW, OLIVER's mentor on Lian Yu.

Wishful thinking, but I hope they end up back in the prime timeline in the last few episodes and we get Fitz, Fury, Hill, Bobbi, Hunter, The Superior, Ward, Flint, Piper, Davis, Talbot, Ghost Rider, etc. before the series ends. I don't care how convoluted it is. Do it.

My current theory is that Simmons and Enoch did something where they separated Fitz' brain and/or consciousness from his body so that he could accurately control the time travel stuff

Enoch said that this was their last mission so something will happen big to the team at the end of the season and I think Jemma started to remember that and what’s to come and that’s why she started to cry

Fitz was the one originally who was putting the team into the different times, so I doubt he died since then.
