...and, about Watts, when he came to visit Jacques, he said, "Arthur?? You're supposed to be dead." Watts replied that's what he wanted people to think. So, that's when it was mentioned before.

When it comes to Ren, he has been really stressed and wants to spend his time training or doing missions. He was hyper focused on this when he, Ruby and Nora went to the party, which started his bickering with Nora who wanted to unwind. Later, after the argument , Nora kissed him and he relaxed. And then Tyrian attacked. In Ren's mind, when he let his guard down, people died and he couldn't stop it.
