How do you feel about Batman killing The Joker?
Comments
I am only okay with the Batman killing Joker if it a cover-up to what really happened to the Joker. Like Batman Beyond Return of the Joker. Batman blames himself for the death of Joker. If he could of stop what was going to happen Joker would not be dead. So he saying he killed the Joker. I don't know if a lot of people seen Batman Beyond the return of the Joker. That why I am not including the big piece of what happened to the Joker.

2020-05-04 01:53:12 +0000 UTCI don’t particularly mind one way or the other, but The Joker is the one villain that I can understand driving Batman over the edge to kill. Plus, I think it makes sense because you could look at it as The Joker having been responsible for the car accident that created Alice, and Batman being so distraught at failing to save Kate’s family.

2020-05-01 10:38:55 +0000 UTCI hate it everytime they bring batman into live action besides the adam west batman he kills it is getting old. In birds of prey(cw show) batman killed the joker, movies batman kills, titans batman kills, crisis batman is a killer, now this batman killed. I am saying either take his no killing rule seriously or do not bring it up.

2020-05-01 07:59:27 +0000 UTCI think it was a good excuse for him to not be in the show, but I still don’t like it. It goes against his one rule, and the fact that writers/directors (Zack Snyder for example) keep feeling the need for him to break that rule for shock value kinda sucks.
2020-05-01 02:01:33 +0000 UTCCome on though its CW, nobody ever stays dead. I'm sure another timeline malfunction will bring him back.

2020-04-30 23:42:49 +0000 UTCIt can work, and it would certainly explain why he felt the need to leave Gotham so unless we hear something that negates ideas like that I like it.

2020-04-30 23:28:51 +0000 UTCI am not really a fan of the killing, but I don't think he straight up murdered him, I think its a red herring. They might have cured(temporary) the Joker like from one of the comics. Also Aaron Batman's 3 years disappearance was at the start of the show which actually take place in 2018 around the Elsewords Crossover

2020-04-30 23:02:48 +0000 UTCMy problem with this plot point isn’t that Batman killed the Joker. My problem is that it is the Arrowverse’s version of Batman killing the Arrowverse Joker. That takes out any possibility for the Joker appearing on what many people consider to be the better DC extended universe. It also makes Batman look bad, since we still haven’t see him, and the fact that the version who killed the most iconic DC villain is the official version we might see on tv makes it hard to be a fan of this show. I’m not sure if this is being put in to claim that Batwoman is a better character, but this is easily one of my least favorite moments in the Arrowverse. I’m fine with making Batman look more complex and dark, but not to this extent.

2020-04-30 20:32:38 +0000 UTCI always thought DC superheroes’ no killing at all rule was stupid. Sometimes when fighting evil you just have to do it. I wish they acknowledged that Flash and Supergirl have also killed people, Flash killed atom smasher and Supergirl killed master jailer and parasite but then they act like they never killed anyone when the topic comes up.

2020-04-30 19:36:28 +0000 UTCBatman's "One Rule" has been broken so many times. It's almost just a suggestion at this point. From Keaton killing Joker and Penguin goons, Kilmer killing Two-Face, Bale killing League of Shadows members with an explosion, Affleck killing goons, Conroy in Crisis, and plenty of people in the comics. In a Multiverse of Batmen, not all of them can be Non-Killers. So I'm fine with it. Hope we find out what drove him to it. Maybe Robin's Murder, or Barbara's paralysis. Who knows.

2020-04-30 19:27:22 +0000 UTCYeah, the Joker can really bring out the bloodthirst...even Superman killed him. You have to be pretty killable to get Clark to cold-blooded murder.

2020-04-30 19:15:55 +0000 UTCNot surprised the Joker is dead. I wonder what's the count now of how many iterations of Joker have pushed Batman to kill him?

2020-04-30 19:09:03 +0000 UTCIt makes sense of that's what caused him to leave Gotham, so I'm fine with it. Besides, people come back from the dead all the time in comics, so it's not like the possibility of seeing the Joker will never happen

2020-04-30 19:08:12 +0000 UTCI'm fine with it, we were never going to see The Joker in this show and it wouldn't be the first time Batman was responsible for his death in Batman stories, 1989's Batman and The Dark Knight Return come to mind. Maybe that event is what led to him disappearing it's been about 4 years now, as we are now a year after Elseworlds, so he kills him, is Batman for a little while longer but decides he needs to leave.
