Steins;Gate #18 Reaction - Early Access!

"Fractal Androgynous"

In a further attempt to rescue Mayuri from her fate, Okabe reveals Ruka's past to her. Ruka must make a difficult decision that might change her entire life.

Steins;Gate #18 Reaction - Early Access!

Comments

It's different though. Okabe by realising this time travel was able to offer those people what they always wanted. It sucks, but Mayuri was the death that would never have happened if not for this whole thing. So stopping Mayuri's death is the most important and right thing.

This was the point where I really started to dislike Okabe's actions. He's asking all his friends to sacrifice what they love most, but up till now what was HE willing to sacrifice for Mayuri?

An even better follow up would be Steins;Gate 0...

man this has been a great reaction series and when its done i really hope they do re;zero after this. it would be such a great follow up.

cody skater

Especially if they watch Steins; Gate 0 at some point.

Rick's comment about Suzuha helping reach 1.0 divergence if no other time leaps happened is probably true. I've never played the VN, but I'd imagine that's like strictly following Suzuha's route with a logical happy ending. Man, now I wanna play the visual novel.

I love this episode!

Next episode is lit!

DAki

First time I watched this episode I thought it was so awkward apart from the sweet moments Lol now watching again I’m bursting out laughing.

DAki

Its equivalent to cards being handed out on the streets in Las Vegas, except that they have an actual function while cards really do not.

We are all sad scientist T_T

Dunno if you guys will read this, but here's something really interesting and cool that I think you should understand about the Divergence Meter. It really isn't as special a technology as you might think it is, but it IS are really incredible feat of Okabe's ingenuity. It's literally just a bunch of cheap dixie-tube numerical bulbs, but the clever thing about it is that Okabe had the foresight during his time travel adventures to always make one at some point in the future and have Suzuha bring it back in time with her so that his past self would be able to navigate through the world lines when all of this occurs. This has 2 VERY IMPORTANT Implications about the story. The first is that when Okabe sends his memories through time, there is still a version of him left behind in that world line that sees it through to the future, setting these pieces in motion. Bearing that in mind, it also means that the version of Okabe that arrives in a NEW world line is over-writing the memories of himself that ALREADY EXISTED, which is a horrifying existential nightmare to consider. The second thing is that this means there is a sort of "Council of Okabes" with a unifying goal of guiding the Prime Okabe through the world lines, all working together across different worldlines. That is fucking amazing.

The tissues that people (typically girls) hand out on the streets a lot of times have writing on it for advertising whatever cafe pr w/e that they work at so its for advertising
