I really don't like this episode. I wanted to, I really did, and Alan Cumming is a lot of fun in it. But it just doesn't make a lot of sense and it's an oddly light tone for a story about witch hunts, which feels weird. I mean, a lot of people died right before the team showed up. That feels like it should mean something? I know a lot of folks love it and more power to them, but this one was a miss for me.

Ezekiel 25:17 actually reads: “And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.”... in the King James Version. This episode is implying a Bootstrap Paradox; Graeme quotes Pulp Fiction, which King James mishears as Ezekielm, implying that's how he then writes it.

Axis 77

I adore this episode purely because of how much fun Alan Cumming is clearly having. (Only rivalled by Michael Sheen in Slaughterhouse Rulez)

I wouldn’t say you’re alone in that opinion. It’s definitely grown on me through rewatches and is in my top 3. Alan Cumming’s performance makes the episode so fun! I would love to see him make an encore in the future. Maybe he could cross paths with Captain Jack?

This was my favorite episode of the season, and i'm pretty much alone with that opinion. ^^

Interestingly I had the same idea about how they don't infect people that Eric had about the TARDIS

Ryan Witalison

Alan Cumming didn't need to go this hard but he did for us...and for Ryan.

Alan Cumming's performance in this? Off the charts. Incredible. Still have "My protector!" ringing in my head every day.
