Doctor Who 11x2 Reaction - Early Access!

I like this episode a lot. The plot is okay, but it's got some really nice character moments and, like Jason Stevens said, everything looks gorgeous. Two scenes that always give me a thrill are when they're detaching the back half of Epzo's ship and near the end where the Doctor is running up to the TARDIS, when the light is perfect and the camera seems to glide behind it to pick up the scenery. And the music! Several other episodes further into the series get more attention in that regard, but this episode has some of my favorite music of the season. I really didn't like the TARDIS interior when I first saw it, but it has grown on me. That said, it's still too dark in there throughout this series.

Really like this episode. Everything with the TARDIS was fantastic. “That sound brings hope to all that hear it,” (paraphrase). But hearing the sound is so amazing and then the wide shot for the reveal. It’s a magical moment. I do think this episode needed a bit more energy though. Maybe a few more racers that run afoul of the traps. Like don’t tell us the water is bad, have someone fall/jump in.

Pretty OK episode but there’s a select few I’m really excited for you guys to watch from Series 11.

Extremely average episode yet Dr Who has NEVER looked as good as this. Anyways, we all know (those who have seen it at least) that the reaction to the next episode should be something special...
