Crisis on Infinite Earths Part: Two - Poll!

Which big moment was your favorite from this episode?

Comments

Routh as he just radiated joy of reprising the role. I loved Smallville but never because of Tom and he always seemed reluctant to fully embrace the comic-bookness of it all. Conroy was close second fav for sheer epicness of the take.

Sikozu

I didn’t watch BMTAS or Smallvile. But watching blind wave and watching clips from the original I knew who they were. As soon as I heard his voice walking down the stairs I was like “OMG ITS KEVIN CONROY”

ChiefChill

I Am Hoping There is another version of Conroy Wayne his back is still Broken By Bane or something but he is the Bruce Wayne we know and love.

Skeletor

Gotta be Conroy. Dark Batman is my jam and having the definitive Batman voice finally get his live action debut rocketed this to number one

James

As great as it was to see Tom Welling and Kevin Conroy it's the Kingdom Come Superman that made the biggest impression on me. Brandon Routh was a perfect choice here. The most powerful of Supermen, the Paragon of Truth. Very excited to see more of his character.

Marvelous JJ

Brandon Routh. Just rewatched Returns for the first time and it made me appreciate his Superman. I knew about tom welling but I haven’t seen smallville. I also knew about Conroy, but his voice felt off and I thought he was gonna be from Earth 1.

Jon Mercano

Seeing a hero that i spent my whole high school experience with and knowing he got the life he always wanted made this crossover for me, even though i didn't see this man fly again, not every hero wears a cape

Kaleb A. Diaz

All of them were great but Kevin as Batman made the inner child in me squeal. And now I don’t care what anyone says he should’ve gotten a live action Batman movie, show or something, anything!

Kris

Ultra, please have them watch and do a reaction for Black Lightning 3x9 before The Flash episode of "Crisis". It does tie in with "Crisis" (including the "red skies" of "Crisis" and they talk about parallel universes). Black Lightning will then be in The Flash episode of "Crisis".

David Brown

Also it would be cool to see Lucifer brought in since Tom Welling was on that show as well

I did as little research as possible to avoid spoilers but "Episode 167of Smallville was directed by Caroline Dries who was a writer on Smallville and now the show runner for Batwoman" not sure if true

I really wanted to say Kingdom Superman cause I love Brandon and that’s like the one of the first super hero movies I watched that got me into it and I have fond memories of watching it with my dad, but that Batman one got mi in my soul cause I love the voice and I thought it was great seeing and older bitter Bruce Wayne versus the older sane one on titans

Also it sucks because working in LA means you kinda have to keep up to date on news/casting spoilers to keep up at watercooler conversations

Danny King

I hate myself for not getting into DC stuff when I was younger. I feel like I missed out on the overall impact of all these cameos...

Danny King

Because of stupid twitter I was spoiled months in advance on both Superman surprises. I’m glad I wasn’t spoiled on Kevin Conroy. So I’ll go with him. Can’t believe there are people who hate these shows when they go thru this much effort to get actors of DC past

ChiefChill

Tom Welling have to be mine. I did watch Batman animated series as a kid, but I am from a non-English country so they translated that show to my native language so don’t have connection to Kevin Conroy

Andreas Froby

I would say Kevin Conroy but all three made me freak out

wetnapkinman

Also, unrelated to the poll, but huge shoutout to Ultra for the time and effort he’s put into blocking out spoilers this season.

Dylan Carpenter

I have to say Kevin Conroy because I always loved Batman growing up, but never really had much of an opinion on Superman. Both Supermen were great, but neither excited me in the same way as Kevin Conroy.

Dylan Carpenter

I searched it up after rewatching your elseworlds reactions and how you brought it up in there

StupidWebcam

I said Tom, just because of your reaction. I found out months ago because I searched it up. The page I found it on said it was quote, "extremely brief"

StupidWebcam

I LOVE Kevin Conroy, but I’m so happy that Brandon got to don the cape again. I always felt that he could have been a great Superman if given a proper chance.

Dark Aeolus

Brandon Routh, because he not only got to return to the role again but do it even better than before, as a Superman I would have LOVED to have seen more movies about.

Y’all ever get spoilers just by opening the YouTube app? Because I just did and i have managed to stay away from 75% of Crisis related spoilers and now I’m mad that i saw that one.

CourtneyC

Kevin Conroy gets my vote. Not only did we get The Batman voice of a generation, but they had the balls to make him a version of the character went dark and became what hated. We get so many evil Superman stories that I liked Crisis event decided to do that with Batman instead of Superman. Brandon Roth’s version gets second place for me since he went the opposite route of Injustice Superman who lost everything yet still maintained who he was, which embodies everything Superman stands for. Tom Wellings’s was fine, but felt more disappointed his story ends with him giving up his powers to have a normal life. I just felt like it went against the lessons he learned in the series to embrace his powers and used them to help people. Don’t get me wrong I am happy he and Lois maintained their happy ending, it just rubbed me the wrong way to see Tom’s Clark still sort of run away from responsibility kind of like how Eric and Aaron felt about Cisco giving up on being Vibe.

Jjop017

I don’t know how you guys do it, I tried so hard to stay away from everything Crisis related, and yet I still knew about just about all the cameos so far (and others to come). That being said, I was super-hyped for Kevin Conroy, but found myself enjoying Kingdom Come Superman more.

Aw man seeing Kevin Conroy on the screen was great. It just was.

Rubi Moon

Brendan Ruth's Superman for me that suit was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 also i haven't watched Smallville

Dip602

I knew about all of them beforehand. I wad looking forward to Kevin Conroy most, but enjoyed Tom Welling most and was so relieved he didn't die.

Darth Skhorrn

For me, it was Conroy, I didn't know he would be on it, unlike Tom Welling who I was spoiled on a while back.

Joel S

Kevin Conroy love batman

Well, it was Earth-99 as a reference to the year Batman Beyond came out... I'd like to think that Kate would have been the Terry of this Earth if she hadn't died.

n p

Although I haven't seen much of Smallville, I had to vote for Tom Welling. Really cool to bring him in and as soon as I found out they got him to reprise the role in this, I knew you guys' reaction would be priceless!

To me there was never a choice, Tom Welling in smallville was my introduction to superheroes and while I did watch BTAS and all that smallville will forever be my number one series of all time! And Brandon Routh was cool too...

Rusty

It's gotta be Tom Welling. My eyes welled up with water too so that's my choice. 10+ years is a lot of time.

BrandonB

Unfortunately I never saw smallville and I had no clue that was the voice of Batman till after watching your reaction, so I have to go with Brandon because I’ve known from Superman before I ever knew him in arrow or even Chuck! One of the superhero movies I would watch with my mom because Superman was her favorite. Kinda want to show her the scenes in this with him in it.

Alexander Mullins (Valathor95)

Somebody Save me from answering this poll. I just wish Tom interacted with more characters.

MacRambo

Who else thought “Batman of the Future” + Kevin Conroy’s voice = Batman Beyond. Before seeing his body, I thought we were getting a Terry. If we got that, I definitely would have voted for Kevin Conroy, Tom Welling wins more nostalgia points 🙌🙌

Honestly, I watched no trailers but all these stuff got spoiled just by being on Instagram. But, emotional was seeing Brandon Routh as Superman just because I love the guy.

Cristian1818

All 3 of these were amazing, but if I had to pick a favorite of the 3 it definitely is Welling. While I love Routh as Superman his movie wasn't great, and it was awesome to see Conroy as a live action Bruce. But seeing Welling one last time as Clark was more nostalgic and I have wanted it for so long hoping they would bring him back for a cameo in the arrowverse, it was amazing

Tucker Lobner

Unfortunately out of the 4 things I was spoiled on these were all included. I love Smallville but it didn't give me enough. Tom Welling being on screen with Stephen Amell would have been amazing but I'm gonna say Kingdom Come because it seems he is going to be pretty involved and looks awesome.

Zest in the World

I loved all the Kingdom Come stuff tying into the Reeve/Routh continuity... It wasn't just the suit, btw, the whole story about the Joker killing Lois and the Daily Planet's staff is also Kingdom Come (not Injustice), the picture in the article is directly from a comic panel... and as a bonus Bruce's metal brace suit is also from Kingdom Come.

n p

I liked Brandon Routh's but I kinda saw it coming. I loved the Conroy, and Welling suprise, but i gotta give to Welling. For some reason I didnt hear alot of Batman when Kevin spoke

Joel

I had to say Brandon routh as I don’t have the biggest dc knowledge and had seen the trailers with him in and decided to watch Superman returns in preparation. Whereas is hadn’t gotten round to watching Smallville in preparation.

Becca

It's gotta be Brandon Routh, the soundtrack alone brought me down to tears.

Erika Kobori

Tom Welling because I loved seeing how THIS Clarke Kent turned out.

Rvick

Definitely Kevin Conroy. His voice is the ultimate Batman voice. Unfortunately I got spoiled on these three despite trying to avoid everything though because I got spoiled I decided to dedicate a lot of my time to watching and finishing smallville for the first. So I'm kinda glad i got spoiled otherwise i probably wouldn't have loved Tom Wellings scene as much as i did.

Malakai

I WANT TO SEE ATOM ON KINGDOM COME SUPERMANS SHOULDER. Double the Routh

Deadpool

I can't choose, they were all great

tsujoi

I don’t think they should, it’ll be better to see their reaction in Crisis

Able

Crew, there is a Spoiler 3 comments down!

Able

There was just something so special about that bat voice coming out of that real man

Michael

Definitely have to watch Black lightning before part 3 of crisis!

Anika Stanley

it was kingdom come superman if they didn’t make kevin conroy’s bruce wayne a murderer he would of taken it and I was not that attach to tom welling’s clark kent

spencer

The Christopher Reeve Superman was my Superman, so seeing it live on in Routh, hearing the John Williams themes, was my favorite.

The Amish Electrician

Definitely Kevin as Bruce Wayne, even tho it was spoiled by news and the trailer! (Good thing y’all don’t watch the trailers!!!) but yes hearing his voice and then the twist of him being a Batman that went too far was cool to see!

Carson the Jedi-Panda-Man

I definitely agree with what another commenter said about watching Tom become Superman over ten seasons...just to have three minutes of giving it up. It was so wonderful, and I wouldn’t give up that scene for anything, but...it doesn’t make a lot of sense that he’d do that. For one, it’s not like he’d be any LESS capable of being a parent that way, with how many things Smallville showed him doing with his speed. And then there’s Lois. We know she’d still love him, because she fell in love before she knew who he was, but...if he came home and said he had given up his powers, she’d have taken the opportunity to beat the hell out of him, and I’m sure every single person who saw that show will know I’m right.

Ragnarok

The Brandon Routh moment was pretty special to me, as his Clark/Superman isn’t just his own, but it is also a legacy version of Christopher Reeve. The moment that classic John Williams’ Superman theme kicked in, I got misty-eyed. Routh gave a solid performance in his own right, but that tie to *my* Superman made it mean even more to me.

ScarlettMi

I have to go with Tom Welling because of all the memories that it brought back from my childhood. I would have picked Kevin if he was playing an actual Batman however they had to do a Batman that kills again, which goes against the entire character in my opinion.

Fen_Bandit

Whilst I love Smallville and Tom Welling especially, I don't know how I feel about watching 10 seasons of how he became Superman to find out he gave up being Superman for kids. When we've seen Superman be superman and have a family before. As result of that, I gotta go for Brandon Rouths Superman, he looked so cool.

Ethan Prendergast

Now do you really think this is a fair poll why not have an all of the above option but if I had to choose it would be Kevin Conroy his voice gets me everytime. Tom Welling and Erica Durance as Clark and Lois was cool and Brandon Routh as Superman and interacting with Ray was fun. You know what just put an all the above option.

Conroy was a good twilight Bruce whose broken all he stood for. But Routh easily redeemed himself as Supes. While he had the lingering pain, until Lex came in and forced him, it hadn't consumed him.

ObligedUniform

Gotta be Brandon, his Superman film wasnt very good but he did play the role perfectly.

Longway

This one was tough, but I had to go with Conroy. That voice... Now we need him to portray the Earth 1 Bruce Wayne in all his glory.

John M

Brandon's Superman references to the Christopher Reeves movies.

Robert Trainer

it's gotta be brandon routh's superman, just hearing that music brings me back

AutomoTomto

I was only 7 when Superman Returns came out so i’m a little Biased. And I LOVE Brandon Routh on Chuck too he is the best character in that show besides the beautiful Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah)

Deadpool

I just loved hearing that damn music when we saw Brandon’s superman again! Brought back so many memories

Jacob Wright

Kevin Conroy really kicked me in the face. Tom Welling really got me too, but if you'd asked me which unbelievable thing could they bring into this multiverse, I would've said Tom Welling. Kevin has always been animated. But Tom Welling is a close second.

Ian Vega

I love Brandon’s Superman and thinks it’s super underrated so getting to see him again was great not to mention him being in crisis now brings Christopher Reeves Superman into the Arrowverse canon

Christian Bolda

It’s a toss up between Kevin Conroy and Brandon Routh for me, but I went with Routh. He was such an underrated Superman. His movie wasn’t the best but he was fantastic in the role and I’m so happy he got to play Clark again!

I never saw the old Superman movies or Smallville, so tbh it was Kevin as a real life Bruce. Hearing the voice I’ve associated with animated/game Batman actually come from a real person acting was jarring, but cool.

RyanKlip

Tom Welling. I just really want Smallville to come back.

Ryan O'Malley

Tom Welling of course, my childhood Superman returned even if it was only for a few minutes

Billyb

Kevin Conroy, far and away! He's the definitive Batman to me. Also I've never seen Smallville or Superman Returns 😂
