Titans 2x7 Poll!

Do you think Dick Grayson is Literally or Figuratively responsible for Jericho's death?

Comments

Also, I bet one of those empty costume spots belonged to Jericho.

Yizing

Figuratively- Rose says that her father killed her brother. Slade definitely holds a grudge about it, so he cares. I don't think he wouldn't try to clear it up with her and tell her that it was absolutely Dick that made the killing blow. I think Slade is trying to put the blame onto Dick.

Yizing

I think literally. I believe he did this on his own and the Titans had no idea. Plus I don't recall anyone mentioning how Jericho died or who killed him before Dick confessed to Jason.

Anthia Grant

I think Dick put him in a position to be killed, believing Slade wouldn't pull the trigger; and Slade, not one to be manipulated, did it just to prove a point.

Darth Skhorrn

I say figurative: I believe Dick purposely put Joey in a predicament thinking it would benefit the Titans in hopes of subduing Deathstroke, but things didn't go as planned and Joey was indirectly killed and Dick feels responsible because he purposely sought him out as retaliation for the death of Garth.

Dick likely causes Jericho’s death, but I don’t think he intentionally murders him. I feel the whole Batman rationale is that there is no coming back after you intentionally murder someone. I don’t think we’re seeing that level of internal conflict, notwithstanding the mental Bruce Wayne cabaret.

GollyJunior

I think Dick was the mechanism that killed Jericho.

Lonahora

Dick got Jericho pinned down, looked directly in Deathstroke’s eyes, smiled and pulled the trigger.

Longway

I put literally because in the middle of the episode I thought : it would be interesting if Dick killed him in front of deathstroke just out of spite

salman

I think figuratively but I could see it both ways. 1) Jericho was part of the team/at least somewhat in the group and they devised a plan using him to get to Slade and in the crossfire he was killed by Slade. In this situation, it was Dick's plan and whether or not he pulled a trigger it is his fault which is why he carries the blame for the five years. 2) Jericho's life was in real danger, so the Titans created a plan to go after Slade using him. Dick diverged from the team and created his own plan on faking Jericho's death which has caused him to go into hiding while the rest of the team think he is literally dead. I could also see this would align with Dick's guilt because he took Jericho's ability to live freely away because he is always in hiding.

Sabrina

He is figuratively responsible for Jericho's literal death.

The Amish Electrician

I think Dick put Jericho in a place were he knew things could go wrong/he might die but he did it anyway and deathstroke killed him by accident

The way him and Slade are acting it should be literal but it won't be.

Doby Greg

I think he's putting the blame on himself. He put Jericho in a dangerous spot and Deathstroke killed him.

James

Dicks overall plan was likely to get to know him as some plan against Deathstroke over Auqalad but got to know him and he obviously was liked by the team and Dick let his plan die but Deathstroke didnt want his son A Titan so played mind games. And Dick had to fight him and his son died by my guess an accident.

Skeletor

It has to be literally, because I don't see a reason we the old team members shouldn't know about this secret.

I don’t think Dick would kill in cold blood. I feel it must a been unintentional kill an accident. Ps This is my first comment it’s so nice to be here having theses discussions hope for more for the future 🙏

I say literally dick actually sought out jericho he had this plan set jericho did not walk in front of deathstroke’s kill.

spencer

I don't think it's in character for Dick to have actually killed Jerichom That being said when Dick had the gun for some reason I thought how crazy it would be if because Jason living won from the poll, That in turn would make Dick become the red hood, the idea came from him saying Deathstroke uses guns.

If it was figuratively why would he hide it from the team.

I have to say it is figuratively. I don't think that Dick would have killed Jericho to get back at Deathstroke, I think he just feels like he is guilty of his death since he brought Jericho into it

Tucker Lobner

I think literally but it was an accident.

Cheyenne Hacker

I think figuratively. Mostly because of what Slade said to Jason two episodes ago, about where he called Dick "a charlatan, who gives costumes to foolish kids, making believe that they're heroes, leading them, like lambs to slaughter." I'm thinking that he made Jericho believe he could be a hero, and as a result, Jericho got killed.

Ryu808

It's got to be figuratively. I don't see Dick just murdering Jericho

Billyb

I do think it's figuratively i think dick made Jericho part of the Titans and maybe while on a mission Deathstroke accidentally killed him

Dip602

I think figuratively . For some reason I think Dick somehow tricked slade or made him accidentally kill his own

Deadpool

It has to be literal why would he hide it from the team if it was figuratively, Dawn told him herself to be Batman. P.S. I dont think Dick did to Jericho what Deathstroke did to Jason it was just an accident.

Joel

I'm going to say literally. I feel like it was probably accidental and would qualify as manslaughter and not murder, but I think him actually being the cause is the only reason he would feel all that guilt. It's what caused the original Titans to disband and drove Dick to the point that he wanted to give up being Robin to atone for his sins.
