Was really hoping for for Steins;Gate or The Promised Neverland. Both series have tons of discussion points (perfect for Blind Wave) and both series are great to watch with other people. All while being a change of pace from the other anime they've been watching lately.

Well, it is a really good anime with great animation, music and a good story. I can see as to why it is so hyped up by people, but I get your point too

From what I saw in the dub trailer almost everyone sounded perfectly fine (perfectly perfect with Johnny Yong Bosch) but man did Inosuke's voice not fit at all. Can't say I'm much of a fan of that VA to begin with in the few roles I've heard him in.

I mean, people are always hyped for recent anime, but I think Parasyte the maxim would be perfect, theres so much to analyze and the anime is so unpredictable too it would be fun to hear them discuss hypotheses etc.

Okay. I like Demon Slayer and all (and anything ufotable), but this channel really needed a Steins;Gate or Gurren Lagann (or even Fate;Zero). Maybe even Evangelion. Anything that's classic or non-shonen, and I personally don't think KnY is influential enough for that. Congrats to those who wanted KnY on.

Man this recency-bias hype train is annoying as fuck. Let other shows have the light of day, if you keep going with what's "hot" you won't get the chance to experience some true gems of anime out there. This was their chance to watch something like Steins;Gate or Gurren Lagann. But flavor of the season prevails. Demon Slayer is amazing, I just don't think this was the time for it.
