Yorkshin City, here we come at last! The next episodes are going to be a blast! I can't wait to see their reaction to the first taste of Togashi's genius. I'm a bit concerned about Kurapika's Nen reaction. In the manga is clear that is so damn restricted (ET restriction is heavy), but in the anime one can think he's OP af. I've only seen the subtitled version and it wasn't very clear. I hope the dubbed version clear the thing once for all. I must say, I was so thrilled to see Detective Calvin and Detective Eric so on point. They were so damn close. It seems that these two are the ones who are enjoying the show more at this point, but give them the new arc and they'll all fall in love with hxh. I'd like to have more reaction in the week, because it's going to be hard to wait their reaction to those moments, but we will manage. ❤️

They pronounce it the same as they do as the Sub does. The Japanese VA's don't say Gahn or Jingu, they say GO(n) and JIN(gh)

Madhouse really knew how to compose HxH episodes so well! The way the music comes in at the end after Ging speaks is spectacular. That studio really must have some HxH fans working for them because everything is adapted perfectly

American accents. What can you do? Ever heard a Japanese say "Elizabeth"? Besides, based on the katakana used for Ging's name even in Japanese it's pronounced "Jin". The issue here is that the names Gon, Killua, Ging, etc aren't traditional Japanese names. They're made up names for Togashi's fantasy world so not only do the English translators have to translate the names phonetically, they also have to take into consideration the spelling of these names that aren't necessarily Japanese and don't even exist IRL to have a reference. They could have translated Gon's name as "Gonn" and it would still be as accurate. IMO I think they did a good job.

The English dub pronounce almost all the names differently. Gon is pronounced Gone. and Ging is Jing not Gene/Jene.
