2019-09-03 09:16:08 +0000 UTCThe TV series is loosely based on a fiction book by Shirley Jackson, the same author who wrote the creepy short story "The Lottery" which if you're American you probably had to read for school in middle or high school. But the TV series only takes the setting and some of the lore from the book, it has its own original story (it homages the story of the book with tons of easter eggs though). If you don't have time to read the book you can check out the black-and-white "The Haunting" movie which is a more faithful adaptation, still widely considered to be one of the scariest movies ever made even compared to contemporary films.

2019-09-02 15:45:42 +0000 UTCAt the end of the WaveCon Trivia video attendees were able to vote from 5 shows (The Boys, Haunting of Hill House, Berserk, etc). The Boys won that poll. Doom Patrol wasn't voted, the guys decided to watch it because of Titans, and Supernatural doesn't come back for a while so that's probably why Melanie and Aaron are doing this until it comes back.
