Interesting...maybe i see things alittle differently ..i think her being female wasn't the important part, her powers and life experience were..People can be nasty and superior without it being because of a gender..She was in an abusive relationship with no control well those go both ways for humans as for condescension, sexism i can't remember her being targeted or experience microaggressions because she was female..Only horny blokes trying to hit on her or Killgrave's ..crazy obsession ,her sister's mistakes and short comings and her attitude even before killgrave was abrasive and rude. But she likes to help people. To me the show was fairly well balanced in terms of showing that part of her with all the crazy parts. There were alot of girls in the last two seasons so i might count it as a woman centred .But it doesn't push an political agenda. Which i was glad for since superheros are supposed to transcend those issues... Otherwise i will have to label all other comic recreations and i like them to much to label them.Just heros living in difficult circumstances.

I'd argue that it is. Season 1 for example was about rape and abusive/toxic relationships. The show also makes a point to show Jessica and Trish constantly having to deal with sexism, condescension and microaggressions pretty much every episode. I think some people have been trying to hijack the word feminist to immediately associate it with something negative or misandrist (or cringey like the Batgirl trailer), when it's really just a broad term referring to belief in equality of the sexes. So a feminist show could be any show that looks at gender inequality as one of its main themes, IMO.

Not sure if i would call it a feminist themed show...Jessica never really mentioned once that she was a girl and that its important luckily..lol..she is just an alcoholic spleen challenged hero

Can't lie the last few episodes of this season are solid.

This show kind of cursed itself by having such an amazing villain in its first season, that fans/critics unfairly compared everything to Kilgrave. I agree that the actor who played Sallinger (Jeremy Bobb) did a great job and the incel-like beliefs of the character made him a good antagonist for this feminist-themed show. But what do I know, I actually really liked Season 2. :) Can't wait to see you guys react to some of the upcoming episodes!
