Rick Reacts: Game of Thrones 8x4 Early Access!

I think Eric is more interested with being honest this time around rather than manage expectations. And while this might be bad if it was Calvin I think that's what makes the future discussion interesting. They both have strong opinions they don't let go of. Rick isn't going to be disappointed or love it because of Eric. He doesn't love Jon despite people telling him he should. I'm guessing they will simply debate if it makes sense for a good moment with both firmly believing in their position. Plus it gives Eric a place to vent a bit.

I feel like Eric is pushing far too hard on his view of Dany in this one. I feel like Rick sees her in a way where the next episode will make perfect sense and it almost seems like Eric is trying to convince him to view her differently so that he will be more disappointed with where she goes.

Come on Eric, you're hinting stuff that hasn't happened yet a bit too hard. Please try to tone it down or at least throw in some red herrings too :)

Okay, so in your scenario the fleet is behind the island and out of view. And since Dany was surprised by the attack, she couldn't have seen the fleet, which means they were behind the island like you said. So since they are hiding behind the island, and Dany cannot see them, how did they see Dany and manage to fire 3 bolts with accuracy before Dany could even see them? Eyesight is not one sided.

Then where were the Dothraki during episode 3? The flames went out and only a handful had returned just before the dead made their move. How could the number of Dothraki that survived have made it past friendly lines before the dead came rushing? We only saw the handful return with Jorah and immediate after, the dead came. Even the show runner said it was essentially the end of the Dothraki. So, in my opinion, the Dothraki should be essentially gone.

how do you not see a fleet from dragon height? maybe because that small rock with a castle on top, that happens to be taller than dragon flight height is blocking 90% view of the southern ocean. https://i.imgur.com/Kw69CjQ.jpg

Noone ever in any episode said half the Dothraki survived, it's just the nitpickers taking Greyworm's quote about the unsullied and applying it to the Dothraki as well, only context we get about the Dothraki is that the leader goes up to the table and takes a few chips off, not saying a word... If you actually think back at the visual of how many flaming swords you see in the aerial shot of the Dothraki rush, and then compare it to the Dothraki outside kingslanding, it's a reasonable survivor rate... If Jorah survived and retreated in the Dothraki rush, and completely unharmed, there's no reason some Dothraki couldn't as well.

Jon would be an awful king because he can't read people, has no finesse and listen to no one. It could be argue Danny would be bad because she's vengeful lack finesse and could blow up. And Cersei is bad because she believe herself smarter than she is and also has no finesse. I would take Sansa than Danny than Cersei than Jon.

Interestingly enough it is my favorite episode of the season. It's fun to see Rick enjoy the first part so much. It is pretty enjoyable. Also it's funny to see his denial each time Danny talk about her remaining troops. ANd Eric gets to vent a bit. You can see Eric gearing up for next week episode and testing arguments. I can't wait for that discussion. This episode is the one where Rick say he would jump ship. Next one is the one where I did. I still haven't bothered with watching the finale proper.
