The perfect hiding creature is actually Drax. He's mastered the ability of standing so still he's invisible 😂😂😂

It's not really any more dumb than Wally. Of which I know exactly 0 people with that name. According to Wikipedia the Canadians also call it Waldo, and the Germans call it Walter, so it's just a regional thing.

One of my favourite episodes and one of my favourite of their Who reactions.

Yeah -except it's a neat nod to the idea that the Doctor turns people into soldiers,.

23:45 I never thought about that, but Shane is right. I now wish that it would have been Clara who gave Rupert Pink his purpose as opposed to the Doctor. It would have been a nice connecting point for Clara and Danny's relationship. Clara made Danny the Soldier and the Doctor does not like soldiers......

Wasn’t he even the President of the Doctor Who Fan Appreciation Society in the UK in the 70’s? I seem to remember an interview with him where they showed a letter he wrote to the producers back then with suggestions for a new TARDIS interior

This in my humble opinion was the first episode, since part of the premiere episode of this season that felt as though it was actually written for Peter's version of the Doctor. The Speech on "Fear" was told to my little niece and nephew

Capaldi was a fan. He wrote a fan letter to The Radio Times (British TV Guide) when he was 15.

Listen is as close as it is possible to be to perfect Doctor Who. In my opinion, the best written episode ever - even if it's not my favorite episode. But it's up there, oh is it ever up there.

Peter Capaldi is an incredible actor (definitely the most talented to play the Doctor), an amazing person, and a huge Doctor Who fan since childhood - he's literally a megafan and it was his dream to play the Doctor, so he put everything he had into the role. That's what 12 is tied for my no.1 Doctor

Eric is right about what he heard, Capaldi did want an accessible outfit. He's also just one of the most genuinely nice, kind human beings you could ever imagine.

Season 8 (and 9) are the best to me and this brilliant episode is just one of my many favorite. Objectively, it’s one of the top episodes of the entire show, right up there with Heaven Sent.

I always loved Capaldi intensity. And it shines whenever he gets a monologue.

I don't like season 8 very much, probably my least favourite Moffat-era season. But this episode is just a masterpiece. Every aspect of it is stunning from the performances, cinematography, editing, writing, themes, and ideas.
