I come to you from the past. Currently catching up on your reactions, midway thru S5, almost there. And no. Intentions? No good? Yes. Bad? Also yes. Huh?

2019-05-25 17:31:58 +0000 UTCIn the first episode they were talking about ley lines and Inca myths.I think it will tie into ancient history like hive being the devil. There probably not causing it but I don’t think there trying to stop it. Probably just bad not evil.
2019-05-24 21:41:48 +0000 UTCI think their team was inspired by the comic book team xfactor investigations. butterfly is a mutant that can resurrect the dead, for ex. their purpose in one story was to go to alt dimensions searching for planets that got destroyed but were somehow able to restore humanity (huge season 5 tie in) given their own world was destroyed and they seek information- i think their intensions are to help their own world not so much caring for ours. add to this i think it will be a huge reveal that fitz and simmons are actually NOT in the same timeline as going to the past could have been just like endgame- diff timeline...something will happen and theyll end up working together with AOS team / helping find fitz

2019-05-23 14:53:53 +0000 UTCCould be really interesting for this apparently villainous version of Coulson to actually have good intent, and having the S.H.I.E.L.D. team try to find a way to trust him could be good to watch

2019-05-23 03:42:56 +0000 UTCMy working theory is they have good intentions in their mind, but to everyone else it's bad. Kind of like Thanos thinking he's right, but clearly it's bad for almost everyone else.

2019-05-22 16:27:30 +0000 UTCIt definitely has something to do with the “bats” that appeared when Jaco first arrived to this earth and the similar looking bats in the recorded memory. Maybe the multiple energy spikes talked about from the beginning of the last episode were the bat things coming to our earth and the “invaders” are following or trying to find ways to stop it.
2019-05-22 12:09:40 +0000 UTCIf they have good intentions I have no idea what they may be, but I don't think it's out if the question

2019-05-21 22:52:26 +0000 UTCI don’t know what they’re doing but I doubt they’re the ones destroying worlds. The fact that S.H.I.E.L.D. thinks they are pretty much guarantees they aren’t. Its basic story writing twist setup.

2019-05-21 21:43:58 +0000 UTCI said good because I think they are just trying to survive. I assume they don’t care about killing people because they think they’ll be destroyed anyway. Although they could be causing the destruction by running and might not realize it. My theory is there were splits do to the Avengers actions, but since things were set right those splits (alternate timelines) are collapsing.

2019-05-21 18:38:34 +0000 UTCI don't think they are here to either help or cause the destruction. I believe they are hopping to new dimensions as the ones they are in are destroyed, then looting and pillaging, looking for resources they need, until they are again forced to hop again.

2019-05-21 17:37:49 +0000 UTCI’d like it better if it was bad. I want to see super bad Clark Gregg!!

2019-05-21 17:18:43 +0000 UTCThey remind me of quote I heard awhile back, “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” Which I believe means great embetterment can only come about from great trial, or that different perspectives can give us very different viewpoints on life. I am of the thinking that their intentions are good for them, and maybe for where they came from. But not good for SHIELD.

2019-05-21 16:57:24 +0000 UTCI think they are trying to prevent the planet from blowing up(or whatever) I think they have good intentions but they all seem like anti-heroes

2019-05-21 16:35:24 +0000 UTCDefinitely my favorite theory on this thread. The Spider-Man trailer mention that the SNAP tore a hole in our dimension. Maybe that is causing a bunch of different Earths to crash together. And maybe the AoS don’t know anything about it because this reality’s/timeline’s Thor went straight for the head!

2019-05-21 16:25:53 +0000 UTCBeings of unknown origin with strange tech and possibly powers, arrive unexpectedly with dead planets in their wake, kill people, and appear to signal to something in space. That sounds an awful lot like the pattern of *spoiler* in the comics, so I'm going to say bad.

2019-05-21 16:25:39 +0000 UTCI'm going with they have a thanos mentality, do whatever it takes for the betterment of something. And like thanos , they aren't exactly "ruthless" (minus snow), as they warn people not to force their hand.

2019-05-21 15:58:27 +0000 UTCThey are S.L.I.D.E.R.S. and not the little burger kind.
Chase Robert Dunn
2019-05-21 15:53:52 +0000 UTCMaybe they think they're doing it for the greater good, but that obviously doesn't work in our favor. That Pax dude might even come to our side in a few episodes, so we learn more about their intentions.

2019-05-21 15:26:45 +0000 UTCMy theory goes to a Secret Wars kinda deal, where alternate Earths are on a collision course with each other and either these guys lost their Earth and are trying to minimize the damage to other Earths by destroying one of them, not both of them. Or they are destroying Earths that are about to hit theirs so their Earth continues to survive.
Firestormwalker
2019-05-21 15:20:11 +0000 UTCI think there's good on both sides. Forget I said that. They're bad, very bad.
Tumbili
2019-05-21 15:03:04 +0000 UTCI think they're being followed by whatever that disaster is jumping from world to world. And not specifically followed, but more like, every world they escape makes a tear between the previous and the new one, letting those things in the video come through. So essentially they're dooming a world just so they can survive a bit longer.
coladict
2019-05-21 14:58:58 +0000 UTCI think, like Thanos, in their minds they are the heroes. My theory is that they are either protectors of time or the multi-verse and they travel to worlds that threaten the natural order of things and destroy them.
2019-05-21 14:58:29 +0000 UTCI think that if they had bad intentions, at the very least theyre not evil, they wouldn't really care about who they kill if that was the case but they leave more and more people alive when they could easily kill them minus butterfly girl
Kaleb A. Diaz
2019-05-21 14:53:24 +0000 UTCDude, they wanna destroy Earth.
Charlie James Verey
2019-05-21 14:51:31 +0000 UTCI thought the same but their killing of innocent people makes me think otherwise. I think that maybe they are all people who have died and someone or something brought them back as only a shell of their former self to serve some purpose. I think because Coulson was revived and had his mind messed with previously is why "Coulson" rings a bell to Sarge. Maybe the agent guy killed in ep 1 will come back and join Sarge's team. The whole "reincarnate as a butterfly" thing is suspicious to me.

2019-05-21 14:22:32 +0000 UTCAs of right now I think they have bad intentions but at the very least they believe they are doing good ends justify the means style.

2019-05-21 14:14:05 +0000 UTCIn the words of Palpatine "Good is a point of view." What they think is good may be bad for everyone else.
