1/18 Status Update

I was planning on starting this update off saying I didn't have much to talk about, as it was pretty much the same as last week. But then I ended up writing a bunch of stuff, so let's get into it!

1/11 Status Update

Netoria 2 continues to buzz away, I can't remember the last time work on a project was going this well. I should be able to have the entirety of the main story of Vasthti Act 2 done this by the end of the month. I already uploaded a new build to the beta server and it could have gone even further except I had a little bit to tighten up in the level after it cut off. 1/4 Status Update

It's a new year! And as usually happens, I'm busy with the same projects and obligations I had at the end of last year. Not that I'm complaining, I'm enjoying my current slate of games. Especially Netoria Tactics 2, that's really fun right now.

Currently, I'm with my Dad on a trip to his hometown. Exactly six years ago I was on this same new years trip, working on the first version of Naked Ambition. I'm pretty sure I was writing that first ball scene at the time. And here I am in 2026 ...

12/28 Status Update

Last update of the year! I hope everyone had a good holiday season and are ready for the new year. For me 2025 was pretty much all Netoria all the time. 2026 will be defined by Act 2 of Netoria 2 and the completion of Naked Ambition. And then if everything goes to schedule, 2027 will have the full completion of Netoria Tactics 2. And then in 2028 will be something else, who knows. 12/21 Status Update

The new Netoria 2 update is out and it seems pretty stable. I've uploaded a version onto Itch as well. So that means at the moment the test build and the live version are basically the same. That will change in the near future as work changes to be focused on the first level of Vashti POV act 2. The first level will be a lot more work than later levels as it means getting everything that is necessary for a level to function all done. So new skills, new mechanics, etc.

12/15 Status Update

The new Netoria Tactics 2 update is pretty much done and will come out during the Steam winter sale, because that's how the publisher likes to do things. Here's the changelog:

12/7 Status Update

Sorry about the lack of a post last week. I was extremely busy last weekend and just didn't have time to do it. There was Thanksgiving, which is an all day affair where I need to do a 3 hour drive each way, then the next day I flew across the country to see some friends, and then then I had to pull double shifts at my day job to get all the Black Friday orders made. So it was pretty hectic, but I did do writing where I could.

11/23 Status Update

We're now two weeks since the launch of Netoria 2 and things have moved from the emergency bug fix response and feedback phase to the further development phase. I am currently working on a new patch that will come out in December it has:

  • New flashback scenes for every POV including a sex scene on Azar's POV

  • Loads of new grope dialogues to make them less repetitive

  • Balance changes to make combat overall less frustrating on lower difficulties.

11/16 Status Update

Netoria Tactics 2 is out! And it's been selling great, it's brought in more revenue in this week than my Patreon ever has in a year. Which brings up a question, do I really need these crowdfunding sites? Well... they are a good source of baseline income, I just need to make sure the rewards are worth it, I don't like feeling like I'm ripping people off.

11/9 Status Update

Netoria Tactics 2 comes out on Steam tomorrow! That's basically the whole update. I've been working hard on getting it ready and the game is almost ready to go gold. Except "going gold" isn't really a thing anymore with things like Steam. There's no disc I'm burning all the code onto or whatever. Netoria Tactics 2's build was approved by Steam this week! So all the fuss about Steam purging NSFW stuff, not allowing early access games, etc, didn't matter in the end. This update is going to be a fairly short one. I'm in a fairly unglamorous period of development where I'm mostly tying loose ends together. Netora Tactics 2 Act 1 releases next month, assuming Steam doesn't jerk me around, so I'm going through all of that content and making sure everything flows and I didn't leave any conversations half done. Sorry for the late update, I'm on the road right now and the first stop was a family reunion. Well the Internet was a lot less existent than I thought it was going to be so I couldn't post this. This week I've been working on Naked Ambition. I think we're past the point where I can just pat myself on the back and say "look, I'm working on it!" and expect applause.
