Tragically I think she’s dead. From the beginning Lex was manipulating her for his own ends and was always going to betray her. It shows just how twisted Lex truly is and with him being this close to success he wouldn’t leave something like that to chance.

No, the only way I can think she's dead if there's a flashback where she learns of Lex's deception and tries to stop him
