We saw her claim how she was free and explained how it was a bad idea to bring them back after the dip in the pool. It's the cliché and expected evil plan but I dare say it doesn't make sense and be lazy writing. @CarlosDaniel She already tried to kill herself didn't work. And she jumped in pool of destruction and didn't die. And the gods destroyed everyone and still didn't kill her. Based on what we saw she is not stupid enough to think the god will kill her rather than let her floating in space or a piece of rock.

Since she is immortal she might feel tired of living, maybe she wants to bring the gods back to see if they can kill her, even if that destroys the world in the proccess

Though since she took a swim in the black pool, she is supposed to be driven by the need for destruction. So having the gods destroy the whole world might be just what she wants. She might not really care if she goes down with the rest of the world. Hell she might even welcome it.

I doubt she's stupid enough to bring them back. As she told Ozpin with the gods gone she's finally free. And she already tried to kill them and failed when the world was filled with magic users and failed. She hasn't proven to be stupid yet.

I believe Salem is trying to summon the gods to either kill them, have them kill humanity, or steal their power.

I do think Ozpin is trying to unite humanity with his academies and morals. But telling his people that there's no way to defeat Salem would make his people despair. I think his not sharing make sense.
