Also let's not forget what Lucifer has done to Sam. He implanted demons in his early life to pose as friends. He had Azazel set up the meeting with Jessica so he can fall for her and then take her. And he tortured Sam for years in the cage (since time works differently in hell). It makes sense why Sam did what he did.

2019-02-22 01:42:02 +0000 UTCI actually havent seen much of the next season so I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but i think Gabe tricked everybody again. I just get a feeling that the conversation he had about Lucifer never changing also applied to himself. And his death was pretty similar to when Lucifer killed him. He might've found a whole different dimension to hide out in.
